Widening of 41 in Estero complete, all lanes now open

Cars approach a stoplight along South Tamiami Trail and Broadway Avenue East Tuesday evening which has now been widened to three lanes.  As of Monday, virtually all signs of construction have been removed and the trail is now three unimpeded lanes through Estero and San Carlos Park.

Expansion of U.S. 41 is now complete north of Corkscrew Road where crews widened the street from two to three lanes.  Orange barrels which lined the roadway in 2011 are now a thing of the past.
