Full gallery »Fort Myers Prostitution Arrests: Jan. 25, 2013

  • Undra Sheppard, 31, Cape Coral, was arrested on charges of solicitation for purposes of prostitution.
  • Akbar Bahrami, 48, Fort Myers, was arrested on charges of solicitation for purposes of prostitution.
  • Louis Bernard, 44, Fort Myers, was arrested on charges of possession of cocaine and marijuana.
  • Josue Pereira, 34, Alva, was arrested on charges of solicitation for purposes of prostitution.
  • Ryan Diaz, 29, Fort Myers, was arrested on charges of solicitation for purposes of prostitution.
  • Christopher Watson, 24, Cape Coral, was arrested on charges of solicitation for purposes of prostitution.

On Friday, January 25th, 2013 at the Fort Myers Police Department’s Special Investigations Group with the assistance of uniformed officers conducted an undercover "John's Operation" on Cleveland Avenue. The operation was in response to citizen complaints of street prostitution. Female officers posed as street prostitutes in an attempt to be solicited by individuals looking to receive sexual acts for money.

An 18-month investigation of a marijuana trafficking operation resulted in more than 20 arrests in Collier and Lee counties. During this investigation, more than 31 pounds of marijuana and more than $147,000 in currency were seized by detectives.
