A few days ago, a number of cormorants landed in the small man-made lake in a local subdivision. They come a couple of times a year and drive fish into the cove. Other water birds (egrets, herons, ibis, cranes) were attracted by the scene and lined up to watch from the shore, hoping for a catch.
