I actually saw the mail person get out of the mail delivery truck to take a snapshot and I decided to do the same. Thought Bonita residents might enjoy the humor of these people!'

  • Island girls will be island girls! Willow and Elizabeth from Marco Island play in the giant waves on Saturday with their fellow Island friends from Pine Island, McKinley and Jaydn.
  • Watch out!! Tommie Barfield Bunnies are on the loose!! They are having fun every where on Marco Island! Willow and friend Jay are 1st grader's at TBE. They are in Mrs.Madonna's class and they wish her a Happy Easter!
  • One is of my 6-year-old grandson, Nathaniel Bloxdorf, looking bored while his grandpa (Joel Whitburn) fixes his fishing line. 'Gee, I wish I could be playing with my Transformers!'
  • This is my 21-year-old granddaughter, Samantha Bloxdorf, water skiing on a beautiful stretch of water near Cape Romano. 'Wait'll my boyfriend in snowbound Wisconsin sees what I'm doing in Florida?'
  • We recently visited my parents on Marco Island for Easter, Spring Break. Here are a few of our memories. Brian, 8, and Megan Croke, 7, visit Tina and Walt Mikus on Marco Island where the Easter bunny left eggs in the swimming pool on Easter. They found money and little cars inside the eggs.
  • Family from Michigan come to visit Marco Island and watch the sunset together for the first time on Resident's Beach.
  • April Kerinuk writes, 'My grandmother in law reads [the Banner] every day! She always shows me the part in the paper where there is the header 'your community' where you guys display peoples photos of their grandkids. I finally have taken the time to email you a photo of her granddaughter, Alexa Joy, She is almost 4 years old. This photo was taken at Great Grandma's Lucy's Birthday this past February. It would make her so proud to show off the Bonita Banner to all her friends with the photo in your paper!'
