  • Tyler Anderson, age two, visited his grandparents, Rocky and Deby Barron, in February. Tyler loved going 'outside' to fish with 'papa' and explore Barefoot Beach in Bonita.

  • Abby & Joshua Vyn, four and two year old grandchildren of Tom and Lynda Murtha of Toronto, and Bonita Bay, Bonita Springs. The pictures were taken in late November. The children were dressed in red as their parents attempted to take pictures for their Christmas cards.

  • The winners of the competition (and pictured from left) are: First Place: Chef Robb Gillies of Swiss Chalet Fine Foods with his creation “Berries n’ Cream.” Second Place: Executive Chef Michael Griffith of Worthington Country Club with his original recipe named “Carmel Tag-A-Long Chocolate Torte.” Third Place: Chef Chris Vitanza of The Sandy Butler with his creation “Sandy Butler Tagalong Lollipop.”

In the end, the pictures were lovely, but for awhile there, we weren't sure if Joshua was trying to strangle his sister.

  • The PreK and Kindergarten classes at St. John the Evangelist Early Learning and Childcare Center’ enjoy monthly Science lessons from Mr. Glenn, the Science man, as seen on Fox4. Last Thursday’s lesson has Mr. Glen showing the effect of erosion on land forms. He also demonstrated volcanic eruption using baking soda and vinegar as a model. The students were thrilled to receive dough that Mr. Glen made in order to make and paint their own land form. We are blessed to offer such wonderful learning experiences for our children at St. John’s Early Learning and Childcare Center.
