From the ground, it seemed as though he was balancing on the wire. After pulling out my Nikon D300 and attaching my Nikon 400mm f/2.8 lens, I noticed that he was actually resting on the pole itself. Of course I had to take the shot.'

This barred owl seemed to want his photo taken; he posed in this position for close to an hour. I sat and watched him the entire time.'
