About Cafe Bubbalini

Description

Whenever in the mood for checkered-tablecloth, New York, Italian, there can be only once choice: Café Bubbalini. With Frank Sinatra crooning in the background, and a pictorial tribute to the famous entertainer, a New York state of mind prevails and ushers Bubbalini patrons into a dining forum that blends family-style pizza with an authentic Italian café. Be sure to sample the classic fresh bread with hand-poured olive oil topped with basil and parmesan cheese. A favorite starter of baby calamari lightly dusted and fried with a spicy version of Bubbalini marinara. The Pepperoncini-dijon Grouper has quite the zing with a flavorful combo of the Dijon cream sauce coupled with spicy compliment of pepperoncini. All dinners are served with soup or salad, and there is an impressive selection of side orders. The pizza at Bubbalini is definitely a slice above, and the traditional family-style-Italian food offers classic entrées that would please even the most critical of Italian cuisine. Dessert at Bubbalini is crowned by a Mama Marie's homemade cheesecake, which is a recipe handed down for more than 75 years. Tiramisu, cannoli, spumoni and a Leaning Tower of Chocolate are also offered. Espresso, cappuccino, and the now famous in Venice, Lini Cappuccino are also available as well as the Frank Sinatra traditional of regular coffee — black.

I have been to this restaurant twice when visiting Naples and I will always remember my dinner there. I thought it was a great place for a romantic dinner. I was there on an anniversary date with my husband. We loved the fresh bread and olive oil, basil, parmesan cheese dip- I can't stop thinking about how good it was! I could have made a meal out of it alone. The sauce they use on their pasta dishes is out of this world, just fantastic. We also tried the cheesecake for dessert, and even though we were stuffed, we made room for it. I have never had cheesecake this fresh creamy and wonderful! Highly recommended for the food and atmosphere, and of course the great music. Service was terrific. We noticed a lot of families there, so it's very family friendly, but also great for a date or special occassion too. If you haven't tried it yet, just go as soon as you can:)

this is my very favorite place to eat on the island. I love the music and the mood of the place. The food is above average and it is a great place for kids, they can be noisy and not bother anyone. If I get to pick, I will always pick this restaurant. Service is consistent and the food is good, and the bread with olive sauce.. is to die for ...just the right spice.
