The historic red peaked roof of the Dairy Queen on 9th Street North has long been an attraction to for native Neapolitans and vistors alike. No drive-thru for this old school joint. Patrons walk up to the window, order and wait for the order to be called out. The entire enterprise has the charming air of a '50s drive-in.
Families can be seen to gather at the Dairy Queen after church and softball games for an ice cream. The parking lot is usually filled with cars with tags from Illinois, Ohio and even Canada. The burgers are tasty. The ice cream is cold. The treats are yummy.
