Description
In search of a quick but high-quality meal at an affordable price? Try D'Amico & Sons at Neapolitan Way.
D'Amico & Sons is part of a growing family of restaurants based in Minneapolis. Founder Art D'Amico's sons Richard and Larry D'Amico, who were raised in the business, are the brains behind two of Naples' most popular upscale restaurants, Campiello and Lurcat.
Soup is a favorite, particularly the café's Tuscan chicken soup ($5.49), which is a frequent take-out item. The warm, crusty house bread makes a fine accompaniment, along with a glass of Avalon, Cabernet Sauvignon ($6.50).
Other starters range from fresh mozzarella (breaded and fried served with marinara sauce) to an artichoke, spinach and asiago cheese gratin or bruschetta.
One main course — OVEN-ROASTED SALMON with BASIL PESTO ($14.99) — takes comfort food to a new level.
Sides include a luxurious potato puree, made super-rich by an infusion of cream and tender, slender asparagus stalks.
In the mood for something lighter?
Opt for one of of the thin-crust pizzas. The NEAPOLITAN, Fresh Mozzarella, Tomato Sauce, Basil ($10.99).
