Description
Mr. Burro, which opened in February 2007, specializes in Mexican fare with a gourmet twist. While familiar favorites abound, such as quesadillas, tacos and chimichangas, the eatery also offers pepper jack pork chops, flat iron steak and the Three Amigos platter, which is Mr. Burro’s take on surf and turf, and includes grilled steak, jumbo shrimp and spicy barbecue ribs. Though Mr. Burro only offers beer and wine, owner Andres Herrera located a wine-based tequila for use in margaritas that he swears is as authentic as the real thing. And at $1.50 each on Wednesday nights, margarita lovers would be hard-pressed not to give them a try
