Description
East Bonita residents have figured out where to go when they’re looking for budget Chinese food.
They head to the New Peking at the Albertson’s Plaza near the Bonita Beach Road onramp to Interstate 75.
The energetic staff behind the counter is happy to sauté up some greasy goodness for you, and they’ve even been known to educate customers on the finer points of making lo mein and hot and sour soup.
On a Monday night, two regular customers eating dinner sung the praises of the little Chinese place. “He’s one of the reasons I’m as fat as I am,” said one of them with a laugh pointing to the owner.
The menu has most of the usual suspects, including some nice additions that you don’t always see at Chinese take-out, like Moo Shu, pancakes stuffed with pork, chicken or shrimp.
Most dishes come in either pints or quarts and this place is cheap, cheap, cheap…
