Description
A full menu of breakfast, lunch and dinner items reminiscent of all-night diners in the Northeast. Co-owners Pat Heinhold and Debra Mott recently opened the place, which they call “a family tradition homestyle cooking and catering” café. The café offers indoor dining, and outdoor seating on a patio with about a dozen tables under a thatched covering, surrounded on two sides with swaying palms. All cooking and baking is done on the premises, and everything is homemade from fresh ingredients. On the menu: For breakfast, everything from a feta cheese omelet to signature Belgian waffles (not “Belgium” — the lighter, sweeter type) to get the morning going. Also, you’ll find country fried steak, a Santa Fe wrap, pork chops and eggs. For lunch, select from 11 salad choices, burgers, grouper — grilled or fried — crab cake, gyros, four different wraps and hot sandwiches, including turkey, roast beef, meatloaf, French dip and pot roast. Come dinner time, there are 17 meat and poultry choices — anything from stir-fry chicken to tender ribeye to grilled liver and onions. Nine seafood selections range from butterfly shrimp to broiled cod and grouper to grilled salmon. After dinner, you can browse through the dessert menu — a slice of lemon meringue or strawberry Bavarian pie, perhaps? Specials: All you can eat specials run two nights a week. On Wednesdays, it’s spaghetti, salad and Texas toast. Friday’s special is grouper with fries and slaw. On Saturdays, go for the quarter chicken and half rack of ribs combo. Senior citizens can choose from eight entrees, all at discounted prices. Beer, red and white wines are also offered, with Bud and Bud Light on tap. Off-premises catering services are also offered, with menus tailored to individual tastes or event needs.
