Description
Rookie’s has a sports bar theme to it with several televisions scattered around and sports memorabilia on the walls. It also has one of the largest gator skins around.
It doesn't matter if you go for lunch or dinner because Rookie’s serves the same menu all day, every day. It's all good and reasonably priced. The prices range from $2.50 for a cup of homemade soup to a nice rib-eye steak for only $12.95.
Rookie’s offers a wide variety of inexpensive appetizers, baskets, salads and lots of sandwiches and serves a juicy cheeseburger. The fish and steak platters are large and served with a house salad, fries and mixed vegetables, all in the $10 to $12 range.
They have a full-service bar and some good new wines on the menu. Happy hour is from 4 to 6 p.m. every day and they get quite busy with the hotel crowd along with many locals.
