Behind the cashier at Sunburst Café is a sign that reads, “Friends don’t let friends go to Starbucks.” With more locally owned café’s like this one, there would be no need to hit the uber-chain.
Sunburst belies its strip mall residency with an atmosphere that allows you to escape in serenity while you enjoy your omelet, coffee, sandwich or fresh pastry. One wall of the café is covered with a large mural depicting a lone table surrounded by waterfalls and Amazonian jungle, which seems to be exactly the atmosphere they are striving for.
A variety of coffee drinks are offered as well as smoothies. The expansive breakfast menu is served all day. Sunburst is perfect for the morning person on the go who wants their fresh muffin and well-crafted cappuccino, or someone with more time on their hands to sit and enjoy a meal and relax with a book.
