Don’t think you’ve been to an authentic Mexican place until you’ve visited Taqueria Los Primitos. Tucked away in the back of the Kwik Pick in Old Bonita, this place is about as Mexican as it gets, from the cuisine to the décor, to the Spanish-language television channel playing in the corner. There are only three tables and a counter so it could be tough to sit down, but you’ll probably be able to work something out because it’s just that kind of a place. If not, do like most of Los Primitos’ customers and take it to go. The menu ranges from street vendor cuisine, like tacos and gorditas, (at street vendor prices) to more substantial fare like pork ribs and grilled shrimp and steak. If you enjoy exotic, hole in the wall dining, you really don’t have a choice. You’ve got to check out Taqueria Los Primitos.
