About Taqueria San Julian
Description
If you want authentic Mexican food this is the place to go. From the tacos de lengua (tongue) to the tostadas de camaron (shrimp), San Julian serves up top notch south of the border fare.
Housed in a small yellow building, from the moment you walk in the door, the experience is all Mexico all the time. The tables are decorated in a rainbow of colors, and maps of Mexico and pictures of the Pope hang on the wall. You’re more likely to hear Spanish than English spoken by the customers, and you can start your meal off with a variety of Mexican beers or a flavored Jarrito (a popular fruit-flavored soda).
The menu isn’t expansive, but what San Julian does, it does right. Tacos come with cilantro, onions, lime, radish and a choice of three salsas – just like a street corner puesto across the Rio Grande would do it.
