(served as editor on these) We won in-depth reporting (11-part series on affordable housing) and public service (series on human trafficking) from Florida Press Club in 2006…We finished runner-up to Washington Post in national multimedia contest for the affordable housing series…In 2004 our 15-day “Deep Trouble: Gulf in Peril” series won the Meeman environmental award shared by the Washington Post, won FSNE/Gold Medal award and several others, also IRE finalist….We won IRE (bribed county commissioners) and also a national police reporting award (deputies shake down migrants) several years earlier. Dozens of Florida Press Club awards every year...
