Angie West

Biography

Angie moved to SWFL from St. Paul, MN in 2004 after graduating from the University of Minnesota with a B.A. in Communication Studies, five years part-time employment experience with the Minnesota Twins Baseball Club, and a strong desire to escape the ruthless Minnesota winters she had endured growing up in the Twin Cities.

Her first months in the sunshine state lead to an extension of her baseball background, taking on a media relations internship position with the Minnesota Twins during spring training '05. When the internship wrapped up, Angie was hired on with MLB Advanced Media as a stat stringer during the '05 Ft. Myers Miracle season and proceeded to stay looped in with that position during Twins spring training the next 3 seasons.

Knowing the stringer position was essentially an enjoyable hobby that happened to pay a few bills, Angie started to think about an appropriate career for a communication major with strong people skills. At age 25 she stumbled upon an advertising sales assistant position with the Bonita Springs office of the Naples Daily News. That was the beginning of a very dynamic career in advertising with the company as it transitioned from sales assistant to account executive and most recently to an account manager role.

Angie prides herself on exceptional customer service, team-work & compassion. She is a natural-born promoter and enjoys representing the Naples News Media Group in the community by helping advertisers grow their business with customized marketing solutions.

Angie and her husband Josh reside in Bonita Springs with a shetland sheepdog, australian shepherd, and the NFL and MLB package so Angie can keep up with Twins baseball and Vikings football. (Josh is a fan of opposing midwestern teams which keeps things interesting around the West household - especially for Vikings vs. Packers in 2009)
