Biography
Carrie Wise is the producer and host of Studio 55 video reports on Naplesnews.com. She came to Naples like many do: from the North. Originally from Cleveland, Wise began at the Naples Daily News as a multimedia editor for Naplesnews.com and Studio 55 in 2007.
“I love video storytelling, because I believe it offers a window into peoples' lives. Through that window I believe we can learn from others and about our community.”
Wise is well-versed in broadcast journalism, with a degree from Kent State University and industry experience from TV stations in Ohio and South Carolina.
While attending Kent State, Wise was known for co-producing and hosting "Kent Focus," a 30-minute weekly television program awarded “Best Show” for the three seasons she was involved. In addition to her journalism work, Wise has hosted various how-to videos for the Web site About.com.
Wise is passionate about multimedia reporting and enjoys the storytelling freedoms of online journalism.
When she is outside of work you can find her often outdoors exercising, reading or working on her golf swing.
