About GINA PETRELLI ALDAZ
Aldaz brings 10 years of online and marketing experience to the position as she directs the marketing of the group’s award-winning Naples Daily News and their growing number of Web sites, magazines, community newspapers and special events.
Aldaz joined the Naples News Media Group, operated by E.W. Scripps Newspapers, in 2007 as Web projects manager. In quick succession, she led the redesign and marketing of the company’s high school sports Web site, PrepZone, which has since won several national awards for design and content.
Aldaz also has served as the innovation analyst for the company’s Innovation Sales Team and, most recently, managed and marketed the Naples News Media’s Group’s niche Web sites in her role as the Online Niche Products Manager.
“Gina brings strong communication and collaboration skills, multi-disciplined experience, and online savvy and we are delighted to have her leading our marketing team in Naples,” said Rick Baxter, regional marketing director for the Florida Newspaper/Online Division, E.W. Scripps Co.
Before joining E.W. Scripps, Aldaz worked for Cox Newspapers and Cox Ohio Publishing in Southwest Ohio and for Texas Monthly Magazine. She has a master’s degree in journalism from Northwestern University.
