1. City offices closed Friday
All city offices will be closed on Friday, Nov. 10 in observation of Veterans Day. There will be a Veterans Day ceremony from 11 a.m. to noon Saturday at Veterans Community Park. The event will honor America’s service men and women and will include a special tribute to veterans of the Korean War.
A large crowd is expected, so please arrive early. Bring lawn chairs, as seating is limited
2. ‘A Heart for Alligators’ exhibit relocated due to Irma damage
The Museum of the Everglades remains closed due to damage sustained during Hurricane Irma.
The temporary special exhibit, “A Heart for Alligators: A Retrospective of the Art of Jürg ‘George’ Furrer,” will be relocated to the Collier Museum at the Government Center, 3331 U.S. 41 East. The exhibit will be on display in the newly renovated Rogers Art Studio from Nov.11 to Dec. 30.

3. Overnight fire torches Naples beer warehouse
A warehouse in Collier County went up in flames early Monday. It happened at Coastal Beverage on Progress Avenue between Airport-Pulling and Livingston Roads. Emergency crews left the area after the fire was put out, but at last check, the fire inspector was on the scene.
