The death of a 70-year-old Marco Island woman, whose body was found in the waters below the S.S. Jolley Bridge on Wednesday, was classified as a suicide, according to a Collier County Sheriff's Office report.
Deputies responded to the bridge about 7 a.m. in reference to a suicidal person call, the report states.
The woman parked her car on the side of the bridge, near the southbound lanes, next to the guard rail, investigators said. They found a suicide note underneath the vehicle's windshield wiper.
Another suicide note was left at the woman's home. The Daily News won't divulge details of the notes or the woman's name per company policy.
