On Friday, the Marco Island Charter Middle School Eagles played host to the Seacrest Stingrays. Although both the 6th grade boys’ and 7th/8th grade boys’ teams found the Stringrays too tough to handle and suffered losses, the Lady Eagles continued their winning streak with a 45-12 victory over the 7th/8th grade girls team.

“We are undefeated thus far this season and off to a 6-0 start,” said Lady Eagles’ Coach, Joni Mockler. “This group of girls is very coachable, they work hard, and they have a lot of fun out on the court. We look forward to the second half of our season, as we continue to improve each game!”

The Eagles play at home again on Saturday, Jan. 13 starting at 9:15 am.

The final score for the 6th grade boys was 30-14, in favor of Seacrest.

The final score for the 7th/8th grade boys was 48-21, in favor of Seacrest.
