The Daily News wants Southwest Florida residents to be able to share their photos and videos at the click of a button.


Our new community Web site allows each user to have their own mini-page and unlimited photo uploads. Users can rate their photos and photos from other users. Users can also leave comments on photos they like. Photos and videos appear as soon as you upload them to our community site - and it really is as simple as 1-2-3.

When submitting a photo or video please include the who, what, when, where and why and also your real name so we can give you credit on our Web site or in the newspaper.

Submit an Event

My business is having an event that the community would be interested in. How do I get the word out about it?

  • ONLINE EVENTS CALENDAR: Submit your events here!.
  • You need to have a free naplesnews.com account in order to submit events. That way, you get the choice of being notified when we post your event — plus, you'll soon be able to track the status of events you've posted.
  • Please give us AS MUCH information as possible about your event.
  • Deadlines for some sections of the print edition of the Daily News run AT LEAST one week to ten days in advance of publication. Help us help you and submit your events and news as early as possible.

Submit Births, Weddings, Engagements and More

Let others share in your life celebrations and events by placing an announcement in the Daily News' "Celebrations" section. Readers wishing to submit wedding, anniversary or engagement announcements can do here. Every paid announcement in "Celebrations" will include a full-color photo and offer residents the chance to write as much - or as little - as they wish based on the size of the announcement they choose. In addition, the new feature expands upon the traditional newspaper categories available by offering announcements for birthdays, graduations, promotions and any other wonderful life events.

I Want to Blog For You

We love it when readers want to blog for us. Do you think you have what it takes? Send us three sample posts! We just want to make sure that you can write week in and week out on a particular topic or topics. Your sample posts can be on any topic and should essentially be mini-essays about something. We usually ask our community bloggers to post at least once a week, although we love it when they post more often.
