I think Trotter and Issler must be taking the same meds. How could somebody be so arrogant? You have accomplished nothing to be proud of. His comments are insulting to the intelligence of anyone that has followed this mans record since his election. Mr. Trotter you mention respect. How can one respect you when you have turned a blind eye toward to the needs and health of the people you represent. How can you smile at seniors that are on fixed income, while stealing the last dollar they have without giving them a voice at the polls? More than half of this community is discussed with you and your pompous attitude. You should have turned up your hearing aid and listened to all the people you represent. And now you want our vote? You should have left the job with remaining dignity that you had. Shortly you will able to add to your resume, loser!

Issler should be taken away to the funny farm. If I were Dr. Guidry, i'd be contacting my lawyer ASAP!

Patton1, Why don't you run and make the race interesting? Let's hear what you have to bring to the table. Give us your ideas how we can make this island a better place to live.

Joeynonuts, you should run for the city council! I forgot, you don't have the guts to. I don't know Mr.Hall but anything is better than what we have now. It's easy for you to throw stones from your front row seat at Mr Hall. If you want to make a difference, step up on stage and let your voice be heard by the residents, run for city council!

On Letter: Do something ASAP

What do you think? What would happen if President Bush announced tomorrow on CNN or FOX that he decided to move the presidential elections from 2008 to 2009? That is no different than what is happening on Marco Island. If the Marco Island city counsel votes on a change of date for the city counsel elections extending the date to November, There is only one solution. The counselors, whose terms would have expired in March, should not be allowed to vote on any resolution extending their term. Only the remaining counsel members whose terms end in 2010 should have the right to vote...

On Council will vote against November election

I am happy to see that Mr. Moss received his award. This will make it much easier for him to find a new job when he is finally fired!

Realtors on Marco have to paint a Rosie picture. If a realtor was honest they would tell potential buyers the following:
You should have bought and closed your loan 2 months ago because rates are up 1% since the middle of March 07. That will only cost you Mr. Jones an extra $328.00 extra a month on your $500,000 mortgage.
We can’t tell you what your new property taxes will be, because the city has over spent their budget. The city even had to go to the Bank of America to take out a 20 Million dollar loan due to the short fall.
We can’t tell you how much your water, sewer and electric bills will in the future. The city needs to make up for the short fall due to overspending.
We can tell you that new Lincoln you just bought Mr. Jones will have stone chips and be full of mud for the next 5 years. You see Mr. Jones the city over paid for the water system they bought. The sewers are being put in because the water and sewer system here on Marco is not self supporting. The city needs the extra revenue from the STRP to make up for the short fall in city funds.
The city council here in Marco is so good and well liked they have told the Residents they want to stay on an extra year without us voting. They need to finish the job they started. (Could you imagine if George Bush did that?).
Mortgage rates are going up daily as the stock & bond market head higher. The bottom in the real estate market is not here yet. Prices will drop to keep up the increase in mortgage interest rates. (Debt ratios) I think you get my point. Realtors need to eat and pay bills like all of us. They have to paint a Rosie picture. If they told a potential customer to come back next year, (Or in 5 years Marco Islands Case) realtors would not receive a paycheck. When truth and eating are in competition, eating will always win out over truth!

On Marco Island continues to show growth in the market

The S.S. Jolley Bridge belongs to the state of Florida. The state is responsible for its repair or replacement, if needed. Not the residents or visitors of Marco Island or Collier County! The survey taken was a waste of our tax dollars. If a bridge is needed, we should be talking to state of Florida. Not the drivers on Collier Blvd. No more needs to be said!

On Residents won’t pay for bridge toll
