My husband and I walk our well-behaved dogs daily. We are responsible dog owners who move off the sidewalk to let people pass (lest our disgusting dogs go near them) and pick up all the poop including poop from other peoples dogs. By far most people are friendly but some scowl pointedly at us, as if to say: what right do you have to be on the sidewalks with your dogs. I think most people would be suprised to know how many dogs there are on Marco and that there is a great number of very large dogs. We would LOVE to have a dog park. It would solve several problems: We would have a safe place to go with our dogs for an outing and the dog-haters wouldn't have to see us out and about. Thanks to all who have posted their comments and revived this discussion.
