Roger, there is no outrage on Marco Island. The only outrage was when you moved to our beautiful, quiet island and proceeded to tell us all how much you knew.

You came to Marco and tried to recall councilors who are leaders in this community. They are well respected and have dedicated many years of service to Marco Island while you have done nothing! Everything you have tried to do on Marco Island you have failed at! It is amazing that you even have the audacity to still write letters to the editors and attend council meetings when you happen to be visiting from your home in California. You were decimated in the election. No one cares what you have to say; you are an uninformed, ostentatious, egghead.

Russ, there were false acusations against Arceri and Kelber made by your buddy Neylon and a baseless and failed recall attempt agaisnt three dedicated councilors started by your other buddy Hall (the most hated man on Marco Island). Not to mention your activites with POP and Godfrey Davies. Many of us wonder why is it ok for you and your worthless buddies to start propaganda with the sole intent on harming leaders in this community but yet you defend Kiester who was guilty of violating the Sunshine Law? Double standard perhaps? It makes most of us question your integrity.

With a new positive council taking office and having to face a judge about Sunshine violations I sure wouldn't want to be Kiester right now. Do I smell a recall?

Can't count the number of times Kiester wanted to stop progress because his buddy's were going be voted into office. A little too sure of himself I'd say. Good for the councilors that stuck to their guns and stayed the course; that took real leadership!

Para_Rescue it's true! As far fetched as it may sound, I have heard first hand that if the Hate Slate gets elected they plan to make Godfrey Davies city manager. But don't worry, the silent majority has awaken and the vocal minority, which Davies is the leader, will be soundly defeated at the polls!

If the recall is not about the sewer vote then what is it about? It is so obvious that the recall is baseless and is just about the councilors vote for sewers. The recall will be thrown out of court just like all of the other frivilous accusations against our city and its leaders.

I took a brief break from these ridiculous posts from the same 3-4 people while traveling, but needed to respond to bbyrone and his many falsehoods; you couldn’t be more wrong. If you moved to Marco to retire, expecting a retirement community, that was your first mistake. Marco is not, nor was it ever intended to be a retirement community. Of course, the facts never seem to matter with you people. I suggest you find a retirement community and move. We have thriving businesses on the Island that provide food and shelter for the many young families that live here. Check the statistics if you're interested in the truth. Marco Island has over 2000 children which equates to over 4000 parents. Just look around our vibrant Island and the activities for our children, even a new school is under construction that Mr. Ayasun, as volunteer president of the school board, worked diligently for years to get built. He has donated thousands of dollars and hundreds of hours to this cause for our children, what have you done? You are dreaming if you and your cronies think you can take over our Island. Young families are already joining together to defend their livelihoods and their way of life for their children. You negative people have awaken a giant and you have no idea what you have started. Rotary Clubs, Kiwanis and even churches are stepping up to defend our city leaders who are under attack from a small but ugly group of unknowns. I mean this sincerely, if you are in town and get the Eagle, look on pages 13a-14a, these are two pages filled with worthwhile areas to volunteer your time in a productive way that will benefit Marco Island. If we are the Stepford Wives, CARES and POPs are Dumb and Dumber. Obviously you are worried that over 300 concerned residents joined together to stop the lies. Sorry Foster, your 10 minutes of ill informed fame are over.
