Written on Death of bald eagle on Marco Island ‘like losing a child,’ sanctuary founder says:

Marco Defender, it was an expression of loss by a person who was emotionally attached to the poor creature. Can not a person express his emotion in a figure of speach without being ripped apart by those who do not care about the pain that someone else may feel beacuse they may not feel the same pain?

Very sad that this is the kind of issue some feel the need to attack.

Written on Marco Island City Council discovers natural gas on island:

Come to think of it there really seems to be quite a few things our councilors "know nothing about".

Too bad when that happens it ends up costing all of us a great deal money.

Written on Letter to the Editor: Grass versus stone and more:

Some free responses to your complaints.

Even during the rainy season the amount of times the swales get filled up with water can be counted on one hand. The rocks look terrible. They get filled with leaves and dirt and begin to look like Detroit streets.

"Bald Eagle sounds like a machine gun going off."
Maybe some of the snow birds should take driving lessons or not drink as much.

If the lawn service does not pick up the dead grass and it is cut correctly it turns to food for the lawn. Notice I say cut correctly.

I have never heard of an animal disappearing in the driveway pipes. They are open on both sides. Not even close to being a well.

Parents should not have their small children on the swales at any time, that area is not a playground. As for getting into the pipe is far, far, less dangerous than getting hit by a car on the road.

How about stop complaining and enjoy one of the most beautiful places in the U.S.

Written on Letter to the Editor: Let’s now junk our ‘Fire, Ready, Aim’ public governance policy:

Our city council has forever used the divide and conquer tactics it is so famous for. This is not something new. Maybe the "We the people" is translated to "We the old people" by city council members who have also used the tactic of wearing the citizens of this Island down or discussing things when there are few residents in attendance.

Mr. Moss was great at placing the right comment when there are few people at the meeting, so lets vote on it now method of management. Mr. Tucker lied to the public at least once, costing the city extra tax dollars and gets City Hall named after him at a Council meeting with few residents in attendance. Thanks, promise changing Popoff, for promising one thing in his campaign and apparently becoming a puppet of Arceri once he took office.

Should I go on? I too am tired of the tactics and lack of citizen's concerns exemplified by several of our Councilors.

In addition why in the name of sanity would you have several of our councilors who have filed bankruptcy in their own lives have the control of our tax dollars to do with what they want?

Some of these councilors may be nice people, but come on folks, would you let a person who failed medical school give you medical advice or operate on you.

MR. ED take your blinders off!

I know from you previous blogs that you will use friend of Adolf to be annoying.
Another thing I know for sure though, that none of my friends or relatives were really friends of Adolf......can you say the same thing, honestly?

Written on Quinnipiac poll: Obama ahead of Romney, Santorum in Fla. :

Take it out of context like ABC with Zimmerman and Trayvon and you can read what you wish. It was part of a sarcastic statement.

You see my dear genetically challenged friend....(that is sarcastic...get it) you did the same thing that NBC did with the recording of Zimmermann, left out the whole statement and only put in the part you wished to challenge making it look like something else, attacking the cropped out part and trying to make people believe that you are stating something that is true. You can take the first sentence in this paragraph crop out some words and it will read "my dear friend". Just in case your challenged common sense gene was unable to comprehend what the remainder of the paragraph said.

I guess you are going to have to stay up some more long nights wiggling yourself out of that.

Written on Quinnipiac poll: Obama ahead of Romney, Santorum in Fla. :

Typical liberal retort.

1. Somebody else did it so it is ok for me to do it. The bahavior of a 6th grader.

2. Telling a lie about another and then challenging it as though it was true in order to make yourself look good....
Where did I show any sympathy for Hitler? You are just too genetically challenged to recognize, SARCASM, when it is in front of your face.

Come to think of it maybe it is just the common sense gene that you are missing!

My dear genetically challenged Klaus,

Had Hitler won WWII he would have been called the greatest leader of all time by the people of Germany. When things "appeared" by the German people to be going well for them there were tens of millions who saluted him and referred to him as being close to a god.

It was unreal that so many of them, later on, denied knowing anything about his actions. Tell that to the poor people in the concentration camps that Hitler was not considered a great leader by those outside the fences.

Yes, Hitler was the worst criminal of all time, but it took the Allies to expose the atrocities to the world not the "genetically challenged" people who lived in Germany and supported him with great awe.

Written on Quinnipiac poll: Obama ahead of Romney, Santorum in Fla. :

History is repeating itself in our lifetime:

Iran is taking its sweet time building a nuclear bomb and we are being made to believe that messages to the great Iranian leader cares. Did you think that if all that they were doing was for nuclear energy? Why did they hide it 100s of feet beneath the ground. Did you ever think why it has taken so long for the slightest sign of them in appearance giving in?

2. Why did it take so long and millions of dollars for our great President to come up with a birth certificate that "appears' authentic. What was the purpose of hiding it so long? Was it arrogance or just the time needed to produce something that appeared authentic for the as you call them, Klaus, "dumb Americans" to believe.

A robot, along with the teleprompters, could be doing a better job than Obama has. At least it would not make the glaring faux pas that your great President has made when he thinks he is off camera or without microphone or teleprompters.

I know, all presidents make mistakes but not as threatening as the one Obama recently made with that Russian leader.

Written on Quinnipiac poll: Obama ahead of Romney, Santorum in Fla. :

Obama can send all the messages he wants to Iran and they will guarantee what they wish for him to hear. All it will do is give Iran additional time to do what they want and LAUGH at the messages. Somehow I remember the great Neville Chamberlain (sp) coming home from Germany with a document of which he said "peace in our time"! All the while the fatherland's great leader Adolf Hitler laughed in his face.

History is repeating itself and you are missing the genes to see it or do not wish to see it. Happy EASTER to you too.

Written on Quinnipiac poll: Obama ahead of Romney, Santorum in Fla. :

Well, (great) President Obama, since you felt if you had a son he would look like Trayvon. Have you also noticed how the liberal media after manipulating the story as they did, have suddenly dropped any discussion of it. Just like the Brawley and Duke cases, holes have been blown in the story and Trayvon is appearing not to have been the angel that they, Sharpton, Jackson and the Black Panthers wanted the public to believe. Is it possible that if you had a son he could have looked like Al Sharpton or Jesse Jackson, too!

I hope Mr. President that if you had a son who looked like you, you would also "Know" what he was up to!

Enjoy your misery.

Written on Quinnipiac poll: Obama ahead of Romney, Santorum in Fla. :

26Years,

You are talking to people who lack the genetics to understand what is happening to them in front of their eyes. Like Germany they will not see it until it is too late and then claim they had "no idea" what was happening.

It is not the first time that this behavior has shown itself and I am sorry to say it will not be the last time.

Written on Quinnipiac poll: Obama ahead of Romney, Santorum in Fla. :

A bit more fact. As far as Bush kissing a Saudi Prince, that is customary in some foreign countries. Man to man kisses show mutual respect for one another. As far as Obama bowing down to the Prince, there was no sign of mutual recognition, i.e, the prince bowing down to Obama.

Now who sees what they want and not the whole picture?

Written on Quinnipiac poll: Obama ahead of Romney, Santorum in Fla. :

It always comes down to look at past presidents. Well here goes. There has been no past president that has been so consistantly called to question regarding his right to be president.
There has been no president that has bowed down to a foreign, prince or king. There has been no president whose wife uttered the famous "this is the only time in my adult life I am proud to be an American." There has been no past president who has held his crotch when others had their hands on their hearts when saluting the flag.

NO, I DO NOT LIKE THE THINGS HE DOES.
If you are happy with these actions then vote for him, but calling someone else naive or whatever other name calling you may shows your own blindness to reality.

Written on Quinnipiac poll: Obama ahead of Romney, Santorum in Fla. :

It is time for Change and that Change is to return this country to a president and his wife who have "Always Respected America" and not only when the former became a nominee.

Written on Quinnipiac poll: Obama ahead of Romney, Santorum in Fla. :

Mayor,

Believe me I see and understand your very significant concerns, but, the method of getting to the solution should not jeopardize our Constitution in the way that has been suggested by Klaus or Obama. If there is to be a way to help insure those who are not fortunate enough to have insurance it should not step on everone's rights deliniated by the best governing document in the world.

Klaus does not understand the fact that the Supreme Court determines whether or not decisions by the Houses of Congress are Constitional or not. The Supreme Court was never designed to make laws. He creates his own, non existant, issues to rant about.

Very nice, Klaus, calling people with no health care plan losers. I am sure that they will appreciate your personal implication of superiority.

You have already called Americans s----- now you call them losers because they may have chosen not to purchase health care for themselves.

You feel the government can tell them that they "must" purchase health care because they are so s----- they do not know how to take care of themselves and the government will do it for them.Just more typical liberal Democratic idiology.

Maybe soon the government will be able to tell us what to do and take care of all our needs and nobody will have to work unless the government decides for us what we should be doing to take care of ourselves otherwise they will fine us for not listening to them and of course since you are so smart you will be one of those telling others how to live their lives because as you have said many times in the past how s----- Americans are.

Now let us all bow down to Klaus....Yeah right!

Written on Quinnipiac poll: Obama ahead of Romney, Santorum in Fla. :

It looks more and more like the Supreme Court vote is going to be 5 to 4 against and very possibly 6 to 3 against. Too bad Klaus, you are on the losing side again.

Written on Quinnipiac poll: Obama ahead of Romney, Santorum in Fla. :

Have we all now seen the smoke screen Klaus puts up when discussing the Unconstitutional Health Care Plan? He is now staying up pontificating on everything but everything but the point at hand. The Supreme Court of this land is not to be threatened by the president in any way. PERIOD!

Written on Quinnipiac poll: Obama ahead of Romney, Santorum in Fla. :

I feel that Romney knew, a great deal more about what he signed than the clueless congressmen that signed the unconstitutional bill that they signed.

Klaus, I guess in a world that may think that two wrongs make a right, you carry it out, to the extreme, in your mind, that hundreds of wrongs must make it totally right.

If one follows your way of thinking about Obama, why have a copy, Obama, if you could have the real thing, Romney?

You point out a prime example of Obama's inability to think of something on his own. I really wonder if he has ever?

Now regarding his subtle threats, he is showing his desire to be a dictator and tell the Supreme Court what is Constitutional and what is not. Maybe he should come up with a new book called "The Audacity of Ego"?

His bill will be shut down, big time.

Written on Quinnipiac poll: Obama ahead of Romney, Santorum in Fla. :

No Klaus, it is called the Constitution and believe it or not, it is their job to decide whether or not laws are Constitutional, not some present day laymen, many of whom never read the document they voted on in the first place. That is why the constitution was set up with the separation of powers.

Written on Quinnipiac poll: Obama ahead of Romney, Santorum in Fla. :

WFT,

I think the entertainment would begin with Newt doing a job on Obama, instead of being the spoiler in his own party.

Without the monitors, Obama is going to have a hard time no matter who he actually has to debate. You have to remember, no matter anybody thinks, Romney has handled himself quite well in the past to get where he is. I think we are all going to be surprised when this thing comes down to the end.

First we have to get the Supreme Court to do its job with the Health Care Bill and then the fireworks will fly.

To say the least this is going to be quite a bit different than the last presidential election. As far as what the results will be, we will have to deal with that when the time comes.

I am not going to bet either way on this one.

Written on Quinnipiac poll: Obama ahead of Romney, Santorum in Fla. :

Realistically,

The chances for the Libertarians to win in this country is a waste of your voting efforts. Some of their ideas ring true and make a great deal of sense, but voting for them is tatamount to hiding your head in the sand. Who will win the election will be either a Democrat or a Republican. The question is which of the two will be better for the country.

I must repeat though after looking at the video and now learning that if gas prices increase, my life or your life will be saved as a result is pushing the BS envelope a bit too far.

http://www.youtube.com/watch_popup?v=...

Written on Quinnipiac poll: Obama ahead of Romney, Santorum in Fla. :

I am not arguing with you on your points. What I will say, once again, is that many people have seen that Obama has in no way lived up to the change he made many believe was going to happen. I contend that many of those who voted for him in his first election will not vote for him and, for whatever reason they have, will not vote for the Republicans either. This will diminish Obama's foundation for a win in a serious manner. It may only take 2 or 3 percent of his support group falling away and not voting for him to cost him the election. Sorry to say at this time in history this is the best we can do for America.

Written on Quinnipiac poll: Obama ahead of Romney, Santorum in Fla. :

WTF,
What do you say we do? How do we correct the problems? If you go by what you have said, there is no answer and we are doomed in the long run. I guess it is time for those that can, move to another country because by what you have indicated. I guess I am one of the unconvinced ones who does not think that way and I plan to stay and enjoy America, what it is, will be and ride the bumps as they come and go.

Written on Quinnipiac poll: Obama ahead of Romney, Santorum in Fla. :

Now lets try some actual statistics.
In 2010 the U.S. spent 880 Billion Dollars on welfare. It has been said that in 2012 that number will be over $1 Trillion. That is not going to go any lower because of the increase in population caused by those on welfare. The $17 Trillion deficit will increase by more than $10 Trillion over the next 10 years, not counting inflation just from this alone and who is going to pay for that? Now tell me who is getting what for what? No free handouts????? You have to be kidding. Tell me that this number is going to decrease any time soon. You can think what you wish and I will think what I know. Also who voted 95% as a group for Obama? It was not those who actually work for a living. I wonder why that was?
Stop the influx of illegal aliens and find jobs for those on welfare which the illegals come here for.

Written on Quinnipiac poll: Obama ahead of Romney, Santorum in Fla. :

WFT,

I do not think your statistics can be substantiated. Please try again. Without those so called Companies you are complaining about how many more people would be out of work?

None of those on Welfare or Food Stamps have created ANY jobs, have they?

Written on Quinnipiac poll: Obama ahead of Romney, Santorum in Fla. :

Regarding the voters I refer to, it does not matter what the previous administrations have done in the past. Many of Obama's supporters do not know who is even in this administration. All they know is that the guy in office now has not lived up to his promises or given them the handouts as they would have liked. That is what will destroy his chances of getting their vote in the upcoming election.

I know it was Bush's fault.

Parents of murdered WhiteBritish students criticise Barack Obama

The parents of two British students murdered in Florida have criticised President Barack Obama for his lack of compassion over their son's deaths.

His failure to respond to three letters sent to the White House was because there was no "political value" and not worthy of a few minutes of his time.
The visiting college students strayed into a Miami Black area. The 17 year old powerful built Black kid robbed the students then shot the men as they were forced on their knees with their pants down begging for their lives.

The court heard emotional tributes to the two Britons from family and friends.

Paul Davis said: “James Kouzaris and James Cooper chose to smile at life and take advantage of every opportunity. They chose to make friends with people regardless of where they were from or what they looked like. That is what they will be remembered for. You stupitly ended the life of two amazing young men who harmed no one.

Written on Mighty python: Local forest rangers catch 15-foot snake :

Still there are people that get a visceral thrill out of killing. Those same people would also get a thrill out of the python strangling and eating its prey.

Come on, beating and killing the snake with a rake? There surely could have been a more humane way.
