Well I am happy that the school is open for the time being. Sorry the kids will have to fit in elsewhere when it does not live up to false promises. I will be patient to see all good things come in time. Keep on promising things that you have FAILED to do and accomplish and we will see who is correct in time. Too bad it will be the kids that will have to pay for your incompetence in the long run.

Captjimbo, First of all I am not your pal nor do I have any attention of being such.

Where are the young successful young people going to find jobs? Earlier, Jane had said she had "many" people calling her in order to move here if we had a High School. So where are they?
The employment rate in Collier is over 11%. Who is going to hire them?

It seems that building this better "mouse trap" is not enticing too many. Two out of three that were projected as possible enrollees are already enrolled elsewhere.

There was no intent on bringing anyone to Marco. It was all a ruse to get a private school with tax payer's funds.

MarcoDefender you are not part of the problem, you are the problem. The problem of promises that were not filled, the problem of destructive, careless, behavior towards your neighbors, the problem of not having a third of the enrollment that you or your leader projected, the problem of an inadequate teaching staff, the problem bullying all those who disagree with you, the problem of labeling the Marco Island Seniors in a derogatory manner and the problem of using public funds for a private school. Should I continue???

Lafarge, Have you noticed that when someone says to ignore these liberal bloggers, their blogging gets more abusive and long winded. It is like they can not shut themselves off. They must convince all who are around them that they are right.

You are absolutely on the right track. Soon they will see no one will be responding to the tnem and they will know that their perceived majority of themselves is nothing more than that. A perception and not reality. That is what they do not want otherwise why all of the name calling only to get ones ire up? It's an ego boost for them when you respond.

Did one of the proponents actually come out and call people who are not in favor of a high school child abusers? Who does this individual think he is addressing?

That kind of talk when someone is under the influence of alcohol, could be what that person is like, him or herself, in reality but may only be hiding it when he/she is sober.

I really hope that this individual is not one of the people who is or will be coming in contact with any school age children at the Academy, middle or elementary school for that matter.

I was "shocked" to hear that Larry Magel is pushing to lower condo water bills and raise those of all the other users.
My cell phone plan has a base charge regardless if I use any minutes. My cable bill is the same whether I watch TV 24 hrs a day or none at all.

Who do you think are the people who voted Magel into office? It was that "D*mned* bullet voting, (Single Voting) by the Condo owners. Now he is paying back for those votes.

1. A principal with a recently internet acquired Ed.D. along with no "hands on" secondary experience.
2. One or two teachers/principal with proper, State of Florida, high school certification.
3. Enrollment, maybe, enough to fill a school bus.
4. Unsubstantiated claims of "World class" grandeur.

What else would parents really wish for their children?

Maybe wish for to offer indoor bathrooms with plumbing?
