Written on Congressman talks, and listens – Rep. Trey Radel appears before Marco Island's Caxambas Republican Club:

For the Marco Eagle and Naples News folks ... we're in District 19 not 14. Hope it wasn't Radel being quoted -- THAT would be a bad sign. :-)

Written on Putting out a contract: Marco Island police union, management work to negotiate new labor agreement:

Wow .... this chain of droning is going to get back on point?? Let's try again:

Actually, the whole thing is an abomination. Public service employees should be barred from "unionizing" period. In fact, unions in the US are literally dinosaurs. In the 1900's, especially early years, unions served many purposes for pay, benefits, safety, and pensions. But, the nanny state, locally, at state and Federal levels, now duplicates ... or has become the primary source for what unions once did. OSHA, Labor Departments, et cetera, provide workers and citizens with "protections."

Closer to home, pensions for the fire department and police departments, in fact all public pensions, should become "defined contribution" and move away from "defined benefit" -- we just can't afford bloated pensions with people retiring at 45 and living to 85. The city could do a generous match program on a 401K-like plan.

Written on Putting out a contract: Marco Island police union, management work to negotiate new labor agreement:

A8 ... don't understand your response. Marco Island should become a right to work city. It should deny any union recognition for its employees. It should change all pensions from defined benefit to defined contribution. How does this not apply??

Written on Letter to the Editor: Obama refuses to accept responsibility:

Can't stop laughing. Klauschen et al. should write for a third-world banana republic "sit com" .... lead character "I am not a dictator DICTATOR ODUMDUM."

We're in trouble, need to redo the tax system and REDUCE SPENDING!!! Hard to do now in our entitlement Nation.

Written on Hugo Chavez, fiery Venezuelan leader, dies at 58:

Yay. Hope "the Big Guy" smites a few other idiots and incompetents. Won't name names because I don't want Klauschen to have a stroke ..........

Written on Letter to the Editor: Obama refuses to accept responsibility:

Klaus, read and edit your trivial and meaningless comments before posting them. It makes you seem to have just fallen off the banana barge, or to be mentally deficient.

Did ODUMDUM build the bridge by himself? Seemed to work okay before, glad the next two or three generations will get to pay for the "gift" ..... some people will believe anything.

Written on Bill would allow medical marijuana in Florida:

1P .... Bravo. Ray, really? Medical pot for chemo folks isn't for a buzz, they can usually get scripted stuff for that, it's to want to or be able to .... eat. May you not have to go through such an experience.

Having said that, America's war on drugs is beyond stupid.

Written on Letter to the Editor: Barack Obama’s ultimate goal:

Klauschen, posting the same drivel everywhere? Is it something you authored or just borrowed like your hero Biden?

Written on Letter to the Editor: Obama refuses to accept responsibility:

Gifted orator? Please, he can read a teleprompter, he has proven TIME AND TIME AGAIN that without one he's a babbling boob.

Klauschen, ball is in your court.

Written on Senate confirms Chuck Hagel for defense secretary:

Klauschen, if there has ever been a master blogger of nonsense it would be the nitwit you see when standing in front of a mirror.

Written on Local law enforcement weighs in on gun controls and overreach at Marco Island Town Hall meeting:

RayPray you're smarter than this. Your firearms going out and randomly discharging themselves??

Be happy the old geezers aren't the "sheep" found elsewhere.

Written on Senate confirms Chuck Hagel for defense secretary:

RP ... hit the nail on the head. ODUMDUM's "dumbing down" of DC has been a phenominal success, whether one looks at the Supreme Court or his Cabinet. Quite shocking and scary. Just as scary are the idiots in Congress.

We need Tom Clancy's fiction to become a reality ... of course Joe Joe Shoot the Shotgun Biden ain't Jack Ryan. Sigh.

Written on Letter to the Editor: Remove MICA:

MICA may be a dinosaur, but even dinosaurs served a purpose, were part of the earth's circle of life. Right now MICA serves a purpose, there are no visible "extinction" events looming.

If anything, shouldn't we want growth on Marco Island to be slow and controlled?

I personally think the putt putt golf course would be a plus for residents, their families and guests, and yes even the "tourists". But, snubbing or trying an end run on MICA isn't appropriate. Hopefully the issue can be sorted out and that both sides don't "dig in" and waste time and $$ needlessly.

Sorry Jim, the tar pits for MICA are premature.

Written on Resolution supporting Second Amendment narrowly approved by Marco Council:

Well ...... David and Goliath comes to mind. It is a sad reflection on the real State of the Union that the incompetents in D.C. are nothing more than knee jerk panders.

We really need some changes to our criminal justice system ... armed robbery -- death penalty, violent crimes involving guns -- death penalty .... one appeal, sentence carried out within one year.

The kooks can only be stopped before hand largely by chance. But, armed citizenry doesn't only help prevent a Stalanistic or Hitlerian takeover by an out of control govt, it also provides a chance to stop a kook or criminal .... neither of which give a rat's hiney about whatever "gun control" laws get passed.

Written on Marco Island police and fire pensions exceed earnings expectations, assumptions remain on target :

Will we become CA or IL ... What controls are in place to keep Marco Island out of the proverbial fire? Are we defined benefit or defined contribution? Need to move to the latter if not already there. Employees and their pensions need to be like tax payers and benefit programs .... everyone needs to have some skin in the game ... healthcare benefits too.

Written on New Planning Board decides to reconsider parking ban near Marco Island's south beach :

Contact the city of Palm Beach .... not West Palm Beach.

They have residential parking decals, and it seems to work well for residents.

As for "parties" .... most condos have "guest" parking spots. For parties at homes, the decaled owner's cars get moved to the street and guests park in driveways. There probably needs to be the ability to get exemption permits on an individual basis.

We LOVE the decision that was made, don't kill it .... tweak it just a tad.

Written on Marco civic group sues to block miniature golf course approved by city officials :

To answer the blaring music question I can cite two places easily, Daytona Beach and Destin. And, the comment of noise traveling at night also has merit. Just because YOU have no experience with something doesn't mean it doesn't exist.

We don't want Marco to be a Daytona Beach, BUT some controlled growth is a good thing. For all of the tourists staying at the Hilton, Marriott, the timeshare places, and for residents (and their visiting family and friends) wouldn't it be nice to have lunch or dinner at Sasso's or across the street, and then walk a 100 yards and play a round of minature golf??

Horse poop, NO. Loud blaring noise, NO. But, quality of life improvements ... YES, if they make sense. Kramer and MICA need to get together and approve this project instead of acting like idiots, and I can also see where Kramer should be sanctioned (read that pay some bucks) for having tried to do an end run on MICA.

Written on Connecticut man dies after being pulled from Marco Island lake:

"Clinging to our guns and bibles" ... gee, the first part makes sense, but not the second. Apparently "the big guy" didn't deem someone worthy of being able to walk on water ... no grace, no blessings. It remains a sad thing for the family, but invoking "the Great Pumpkin" to somehow make things okay is mysticism. Which, helps explain why the world is such a freaking mess. It will remain interesting to see what Marco Island's "response" to this attractive nuisance is going to be.

Written on Connecticut man dies after being pulled from Marco Island lake:

Sad. Well, let's see .... summon the trial attorneys, fence off the lake, demolish the little boat dock, put up at least 100 warning signs five feet apart, and hire a couple of guards to yell at people who get within 10 feet of the fence or walk on the grass instead of the path. That should fix the problem.

Written on Marco civic group sues to block miniature golf course approved by city officials :

"Ignoring" the other side isn't a good idea. But, a stop work injunction should have been filed months and months ago. Construction has been ongoing a long time. I can see the future noise complaints .... mini golf courses for some unknown reason play background annoying music at a billion decibels .... that CAN NOT be tolerated at this location.

Written on Marco Island's big flag flies again :

Written on Letter to the editor: Thank you to the citizens of Marco Island :

Can't believe I'm going to do this ..... Klaus, Math 101, "a large majority of America" is 80-20 or better, maybe even 75-25%. ODUMDUM did NOT win an election by a large percentage. ... 4% or 2M is really a squeaker for an incumbent. Welcome to the land of looters, mooches, and racists. Makes ya proud Klaus. Come see me in four years if ODUMDUM-care hasn't killed you.

Written on Marco Island city sign at foot of Jolley Bridge destroyed in crash, flag pole dented :

Written on Marco Island city sign at foot of Jolley Bridge destroyed in crash, flag pole dented :

Written on Bill Clinton will campaign for Obama on Friday in Fort Myers :

Klaus, do you type with your elbows or toes??

Thanks for another mindless posting.

Written on Bill Clinton will campaign for Obama on Friday in Fort Myers :

Go help ODUMDUM pack up Klaus.

Written on Bill Clinton will campaign for Obama on Friday in Fort Myers :

Hey, hey, hey. The annointed one DID make a photo stop before hopping back on AF One and going to three or four other states to campaign. Not much different from the last four years. There is one thing ODUMDUM does care about ... himself.

Klauschen under the weather? Doesn't want to come out and play?

Written on Bill Clinton will campaign for Obama on Friday in Fort Myers :

Bill, who I voted for twice WHILE on active duty has become nuttier than Klauschen. ODUMDUM is an incompetent dirtbag, and Bill, Klaus, and other obamabots need some serious reprogramming.

Written on Letters to the Editor: Questions for condo owners:

Klauschen ... what are you talking about?? Your pidgin English at times is barely understandable. We live with the typos and missed nuances, and all your chanting. Try a spell checker. Read what you've written before blindly posting it.

At times, it seems like you're fictional ... nobody can intentionally hold such moronic beliefs. Hope you're a troll just playing ... otherwise you only serve to drag down the whole human race.

ODUMDUM is a dirtbag. A do nothing, teleprompter reading, lying, racist dirtbag. Klaus you can chant and peddle your hooey from here to Berlin .... and it's still just hooey.

Written on It's Your Business: Tourism up 4 percent last month over September 2011 :

How the hospital ball gets slipped into a Tourism report is anyone's guess. Interesting that with all the cries about the cost of health care, and the skewed data on American health/medical outcomes, that there is no discussion about the ethics of what we do in the realm of neonatology. One reason why our costs are so astronomical is because we pour tremendous resources into "saving/prolonging/maintaining" life at both ends of the spectrum. We will spend a million dollars on a crack baby or a one pound preemie that may either die within a year or two or require unbelievable medical support to "live" a substandard life. Same thing in geriatrics, we keep folks on life support for years, we super medicate, we do big surgeries that chances are folks will not recover from.

Then, we have a broken legal system that permits the ambulance chasers to go after "the failures". In most cases, these aren't failures, they're folks that anyplace else on Earth, no matter what country, they would already be dead.

Our medicine is the best in the world, period. What's broken is our ethics, end-of-life decision making, and legal system.

Written on Countdown to debate: Romney ups criticism of Obama's second-term plans:

26years ......... Wow! What a great clip. It would be nice if Klaus' beer soaked brain could manage to view the clip.

Don't want to steal your thunder, but it merits getting put into any discussion thread you're commenting on. Thanks.

Written on Marco officer involved in crash to retire, receive $10,000 :

Why would they let this idiot anywhere near a badge, gun, or cruiser. My wife and I were leaving Joey's when the accident happened. It was horrendous. Marco Island is LUCKY no one was on the sidewalk or sitting at the corner bench. They'd be dead.

Ed shouldn't be getting anything for "fighting" what was a perfectly appropriate termination. If anything, he should be cooling his heels in the slammer for a year or two.

Jerk!
