There will always be a very loud vocal minority on Marco Island that will mislead, misinform and misquote at every opportunity and McMullan is their leader. The last election proved once and for all that they are only the minority. I say ignore them; the more we talk to them, the more embrazened they become!

What's your point van?? We do live in a representative republic, it is not a democracy. We elect our governmental representatives and they place votes as they see fit. Perhaps you just don't like who the MAJORITY voted into office.

Fossil, here is a little government lesson for you:
WE ARE NOT A DEMOCRACY! We are a Representative Republic.
Fossil, you and McMullan are part of a small minority that have been screaming to be part of the political process. Now that you have an opportunity to voice your opinion and be heard in a formal setting you guys all protest and resign. What this tells the majority is that you never really wanted to be involved in positive way to begin with; you are just trying to be obstructionists. Someone who really cared and had convictions about an issue would be part of the solution!
You further prove your ignorance by your foolish actions, erroneous statements and lack of understanding of how your own country’s government actually works.

What amazes me is that the paper actually removes public information about Bill McMullan. There was absolutely NO abusive language or insulting remarks, only facts about McMullans checkered past. Why would the Eagle staff remove this...McMullan must have pull with the press!
