Please not some retired cop. Marco Island needs a young energetic cop who has real law enforcement experience at the local level and who has the desire to make it a progressive agency. We need a go get'em type. There should be two major concerns for the next chief, Training and Technology. Please not some retired cop.

Marcosnook03, In response to your question about should we hire someone who has not been a chief. I must pose the question should we vote for someone who has never held public office. Jeb Bush was a two time governor and never held public office before that. The point is lets we narrow it down to a wide range of applicants. Lets find someone with a vision for the future. Whether they currently live here or not.
