Liberal island supporters such as BigDong70 have followed him into the septic tank of financial misery and would vote for him to flush again.The tank is their choice but it's not ours.We won't allow him to stay; he knows it and he won't run again.
When you see financial failure being rewarded and honesty becoming a self-sacrifice — you know your city is in trouble.
Although RobPop might be a great guy and wins 'hands down' on this blog's popularity contest, he will not hold another public position that requires clear thought processes of financial importance.

Should the councilors get raises they 'might' pay their monthly mortgages themselves. Less of your Federal income tax dollars will be required to bail out those lenders who got stuck with our city offical's defaulted mortgages. View the disappointment at Clerk Of Courts website. Oh, and Marco's parks director and others need raises also.
Mackel High has a huge advantage over other locations. The day care facilites are already in place. Saul Alinsky and company would be proud.
We can afford to duplicate other services so a high school that we control ourselves is a great idea.
Byron might consider a vocational high school after filling in the pond. Proper training of the local NWO children to perform menial tasks is an advantage. Another would be a first-aid course on how to treat animal bites, animal toe nail grooming, eviction and eradication of domestic species etc. Less wear and tear on the Jolly old bridge, job creation, geesh the advantages are endless.

They don't have enough money to make it accessible to the disabled? The ADA is not a suggestion - it's the law.
The rest rooms, parking, walkways, gate entries, vending curbs, ramps all facilities must be ADA compliant. Byron wouldn't intensionally violate our civil rights.
Liability insurance to cover the animal attacks will not come cheap though. Byron has it all figured out. I missed the grand opening last week.
No problem! Byron is creative. He'll simply fill in the lake. Those pesky fish get all smelly when they die from the chemicals used to ward off the remaining wildlife (fire ants). He's evicted most wildlife except rats, roaches, snakes and fire ants. When is he going to get our dog park open? At the grand opening Byron might give a demo on how to capture dog urine in a plastic bag.

Seek records at the Collier Cty Clerk of Courts website to investgate the flim flam council and parks directors(plus others). Apparently we should not expect city finances to make sense with these monkeys rolling the dough.

If children were not allowed in our Byron dog park the animals would not be prone to bite them. Warning signs should be posted.

My dogs are well behaved as long as children keep their distance. Byron Milk donated this park to us and we will defend it. Unruly children must stay away. My dogs have never bitten an adult.

Two chickee huts? With running water hopefully. There's about to be two homeless council members. News reports Lis Pendins recently filed on two or three of their properties.
People that have proven they cannot afford a luxury should be given a loan secured by tax payers? The city councilor, about to get evicted, could live in the chickee huts. Marco could loan 125% of what is needed to pay for the park. This might make sense to an ACORN.
My accountant recommends 'let the city buy bonds'. If your city gives you the option not to pay today, "DON'T PAY".
Property owners should delay payment for STRP as long as possible.
Pay it off with inflated dollars twenty years from now. 25k$ won't even buy birdfood in a few years. Borrow and spend as much as possible today. Inflation will make it all worth while real soon.

Public records are everyone's business. Names addresses and court records pertaining to any politician in control of our tax dollars should always be revealed to the tax paying citizens.

Stop all the fuss. Our dogs are our children. We pay taxes like everyone else and expect some consideration. Island tax payers most certainly will afford a park for my dogs. Waldick should be embarassed by his comment. We are over taxed as it is. He shouldn't expect to get paid extra.
Chairman Rob Popoff suggested MilkI still don't understand what milk has to do with all this. We should discuss dog beverages after we get our park. One islander mentioned in another comment that all Popoff properties are in forclosure. We could donate to her and the dog park if we knew where and how.

Oh my! We investigated the wrong area. What's this about providing milk? Where can we donate?
Does anyone know the annual membership cost to join the kennel club? We must avoid the summer heat so we'll stay inside the clubhouse. Will the valet provide service to those without membership? My husband could watch from the van with the air running while Sara and Megan enjoy their new friends. Will they be open on the 4th?
I wasn't feeling well this morning so my husband drove down to Marco to investigate without me. Here is the vision he presented me and the girls. This area is under construction. Parking and rest rooms must be located in a fenced area between the two dog parks. Maybe owners can remain in the conditioned air and observe their animals in either arena through windows. The volunteers will release and retrieve the pets as requested. We have two small dogs, Sara and Megan, but may adopt a larger pooch now that there's room for them to roam. Sara and Megan love Marco Island and we all look forward to meeting everyone.
