Klaus missing, maybe I did get him off the Obama Kool-Aid. My campaign promise fullfilled.I'm one up on Obama.
Every panther knows, bikers are easier to catch than people in cars, panther 101.
My election promise.I will get him to stop drinking the OB Kool-Aid.
Klaus, I know you like quotes, please explain this one to me and tell Harry it's time for his tax returns to be made public.“The fact that we are here today to debate raising America’s debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the U.S. government cannot pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our government’s reckless fiscal policies. Increasing America’s debt weakens us domestically and internationally. Leadership means that, ‘the buck stops here.’ Instead, Washington is shifting the burden of bad choices today onto the backs of our children and grandchildren. America has a debt problem and a failure of leadership. Americans deserve better.” – Senator Barack H. Obama, March 2006.
Not once in any Romney advertisement I have seen, does he say to the 49%ers, this ad is not for you. If some of those 49%ers do vote for Romney, I predict a landslide. Here are some past words of wisdom from the empty suit, the great Obama. So true, so true.“The fact that we are here today to debate raising America’s debt limit is a sign of leadership failure.
How dare Romney point out the Dems dirty little secret. Finally someone with the nerve to say what we already knew.
Klaus, I don't have time to troll the internet to research exactly were President Bush was the afternoon of 9/11. One thing I do know, which you left out on your rendition of his schedule, was that AF1 did not have the ability to speak to the nation, it does NOW, but all we heard was the sound of crikets. Your POS was off in Vegas begging for money and votes, while the middle east is on fire, were was he today?Obama commented that Romney has made the killings political, but it was OK for him to do the same thing to Bush and McCain back in 08 on CNN when speaking about Afganastan. Tell me again why he is so great? I asked you that question before and never got any reasons just your Bla, Bla, Bla OB is great stuff.
Were was Bush on 9/11. He was in a classroom full of little kids, he excused himself and flew back to Washington (after they hid him at an undisclosed AF base for few hours) and addressed the people of this great country that night. He DID NOT give a brief statement than continue on with his fund raising day.Again Obama = J. Carter Version 2.0
An act of war was perpetrated on US soil and Klaus’s leader still keeps his campaign schedule, what a great leader. He should be under a B52 signing his name to a shipment of dumb bombs. The blood is on his hands, he meddled in Egypt and Libya affairs, helping to get their dictators removed, and this is how they repay us. Looks like Mitt will have another Obama mess to clean up. Bottom line: Obama= J. Carter Version 2.0
Klaus, sounds like the same thing Mitt can say about Obama, thanks"I want to nominate a man whose own life has known its fair share of adversity and uncertainty. I want to nominate a man who ran for president to change the course of an already weak economy and then, just six weeks before his election, saw it suffer the biggest collapse since the Great Depression, a man who stopped the slide into depression and put us on the long road to recovery, knowing all the while that no matter -- no matter how many jobs that he saved or created, there’d still be millions more waiting, worried about feeding their own kids, trying to keep their hopes alive".
Guys, you have to get over the Bush left us in a hole mentality that was 4 years ago, accept some ownership. Now I don't care if it's Romney or Big Bird tell me WHY he deserves another term, I have pointed out why I think he doesn't deserve any more time. Our finances, economy and unemployment are all worse than 4 years ago. Just tell me why.
Paradiselost, again show me proof, you want Romney to provide you proof on his taxes, but Obama can keep all his information private, why. Obama inherated a mess, I agree. Bush had an unemployment of 5.3% were are we now. Bush left a deficate of 1.3 trillion, were are we now. That deficate was driven by a democratic congress in 07 and 08, were are we now. Bush created a budget every year, were are we now. Please explain why he needs another 4 years, to reduce the deficate, he said that 4 years ago when the deficate was only 1.3 trillion. To reduce the unemployment rate, he said that 4 years ago. He also said 4 years ago if he could fix these problems in 4 years he did not deserve another term, we are just going to give him what he asked for four years ago.
As far as I have read, all of his school transcripts have been sealed and never released for public review as all past presidents have done( anyone can say I saw them). His SS number was issued in a state where he never resided, in a year he was not born in. In regards to the F&F records, executive privilege for something he was not involved in, give me a break. Prove to me he was not a foreign exchange student with a forged SS number. I still believe his birth certificate is forged also.
His returns are in the same vault as Obamas college records, Obamas SS number and Obamas F&F records. People in glass houses shouldn't throw stones. If you were rich were would you put your money, in a 1% bank account, dought it.
I would have made the list longer, just giving Klaus time to build a rebuttal. I know it's all Bushs fault.
Obamas list of credits of the last 4 years.23 million unemployed.43 straight months of 8+% unemployment.45 million on food stamps.Black poverty at record highs. The middle class has lost 40% of its net worth under Obama.Black youth unemployment over 50%.Hispanic unemployment at 11.3%.Food prices up 15% under Obama.Gas prices doubled under Obama.Obama has the worst job creation record since 1945. Obama recovery the worst in 75 years.Median household income declines $4,300 under Obama.Average family health insurance up $1,500 under Obama and rising. Obama’s grown the federal bureaucracy’s “market share” of GDP from 19% to 24% in only 4 years.Added $6 trillion to our debt more than all presidents. COMBINED.Presided over only US credit downgrade. Not to mention the bailout failures, false promises and hidden documents. Where did all that Wall Street money go??OB losing by 9% no problem.
Keep drinking that OB Kool-Aid boys, it makes for fun reading, but comparing OB to JC a little over the top. Next time you guys are in Washington for more Kool-Aid, could you ask for a presidential order reducing my water bill or stopping the swale parkers, just a thought. As far as tax records, funny OB only wanted 2 years from McCain. I wouldn’t show him anything until he releases all the documents that other presidents have historically released, like military records, school records, oh ya and that whole F&F thing.
I didn't say it was not a problem and sorry my math was off it was 5:30 am. I still think $40.58 is a lot of money per tree.
Almost $200.00 per tree, wow. I only pay $3.00 per tree to treat my palms every quarter.
Romney realized that mandatory health care was wrong and was man enough to admit it. True, MA companies are covering more employees, but at what cost, extremely high premiums', all of which comes directly out of their employee's wages. Insurance companies are holding employers hostage because they know they need to supply coverage to their employees. How did the insurance mandate adjust costs, it RAISED them, that is from personal experience. Will it work on a national level, no way, it will only raise premiums. A real "Great" man will admit when he is wrong and learn from those mistakes and not blame it on others. In regards to the Romney commercial about being last in job creation and highest in debt, all true at the start of his administration, research his final numbers, you will be surprised, and he didn't blame on the previous governor.
Oh Klaus, give it a rest. It is a partisan issue only because the Dems want to bury it and Congress wants to know the full story BECAUSE HOLDER ALREADY LIED TO THEM TWICE. I want to know how involved he and your great one are involved, so drop the partisan crap. If he had turned over everything Congress had asked for, it could have gone away by now. Now I ask, what are they hiding???
What part of illegal does this moron not get??? Now he want to add more people chasing jobs that don't exist. I can't wait until November to sent this moron packing. What we really need is a private industry to deport these freeloaders. Yes if they are not working they are freeloaders.
What swale parking PLAN. No need for a study. Have MIPD enforce existing parking regulations. A 50 dollar ticket trumps an 8 dollar parking pass every time.
Mary, sounds like you were looking for the Keys, we are completely different, all we have in common is the Gulf of Mexico. If someone told you we were, they were mistaken. Seawaller was correct; this island was never designed as a tourist destination, the keys became one. All that you have read or heard about parking and beaches are just small town growth issues, not directed at you in any way. We are not trying to stop growth just manage it properly, fortunately with many different options and opinions. You may come down here for a 3 week vacation, that’s great. We live here 52 weeks and have to deal with the same issues you deal with at your home the other 49 weeks. In regards to fishing, few piers were ever placed because almost 90% of the homes are on cannels, we just didn’t need them. As to your noticing the people are not friendly, on some of these blogs I have to agree with you. Our population swells to about 3 times our normal during the high season, stressing us locals and our guests. Please come back over the summer or fall, I guaranty you will feel differently about our friendliness.
Chairman Nagel, with only a nine month term, I hope you would concentrate on two main issues. First: Water / Sewer rates. Water is the life blood of any community and should be available to all at a FAIR price. A gallon of water out of my faucet should cost the same as a gallon of water out of someone else’s faucet. Effluents costs are were adjustments need to be made, higher rates should be charged to the largest users namely hotels and restaurants with lesser rates for condo’s and single family homes. Second: Swale parking. There is now a long history of inaction by MI government on this issue, it will not go away. Unfortunately it will come to a head when someone is seriously hurt or killed stepping out from between illegally parked cars. Hopefully you realize the city liability and possibly homeowners exposure(as the swale owners) for not enforcing existing city parking laws. I am sure the ambulance chasers will include us in any legal action and guess who will have the deepest pockets, we will.Best of luck on your next nine months.
This just keeps getting better. Now we have a finance director with a 16 person department taking three months to tell us room temperature IQ people were the money was hiding. I am starting to think the room temperature IQ people are the people answering the questions, not asking them. If you need to misplace another 4 million, I have an open bank account you can use for 3 months.
Additional parking at South Beach is not the answer, it will just overcrowd the beach. People will not walk ½ a mile up the beach to find more room and if they do, they will be leaving their trash all the way back to their car. The only answer is offsite parking with a shuttle service, add two or three additional beach access points to spread out the people. A temporary solution put a cop out there to enforce existing parking laws.
Your father was right. Stay here during the rainy season and you will see how stupid those ideas sound.
It's only confusing if your on the wrong end of the gun.
I think their franchise fee should equal the water/sewer stranded costs and maybe fund the fireworks for a few years.
Maybe we should allow the hotels to install parking structures over their existing parking lots? They could run them for profit and it would also open up more beach area to the off-inlanders. I do go to South beach and it does get crowded. I know parking garages are plain ugly but I have traveled all over the country and seen a few nice ones. They can be made to blend in nicely.
Panola60 great post and on top of that I could not find one item that they could say was Bushs fault. Brisla when you stated that Clinton left Bush a sweet deal, look into it, he did it by raping every budget leaving Bush in one giant hole. 26yearsonmarco I'm with you, one and done for this guy.
Duh, yes it does matter. I pay my dues I expect MICA to provide me the services I paid for. MICA stand tall do not enter any deal to allow use by non members.
I have to disagree; I think Collier should be the only road with those type light fixtures. Collier is the main entrance onto our island and should be dressed up the way it is, manicured lawns, shrubs, trees and sidewalks there should be a difference between that and our other roads. To be honest, they are just street lights, they don’t keep me awake at night, no pun intended.
Oh, I smell a nice new shinny boat coming, and all the training and staff to service it, all for one call. Sounds like, never let a good crises go to waste.
Ease the tax burden on oil companies, is it April Fools Day already. The oil industry has a strangle hold on this economy, while making record profits and our elected officials want to ease their burden, what about my burden. I will NEVER feel their pain sorry.
From a campaign standpoint I prefer Mitt to Newt. The Romney campaign will have no problem exploiting all the failed ideas, failed budgets, illegal appointments, lavish vacations and flawed legislation this administration has subjected this country to. I look forward to this administration trying to still somehow blame Bush for all this, not this time.
I admit there are cars there from time to time but ghetto please, if the city goes and hangs no parking signs every 50' now thats ghetto. I drive by there a few times a week and have never thought it was a safety issue.
