I have never written to stick up for my husband, Jim Lang and never had to because of his stellar reputation for helping others. He receives a salary from the City and is supposed to work until 5:00, but I hardly ever see him home before 6 or 7, not getting paid for the overtime. When he comes home he works on the computer doing reports. He never complains, because that is the kind of person he is. I cannot tell you the hundreds of times he goes out to help someone with their high bills....evenings, Saturdays, Sundays, whenever. Many times I have gone with him to hold the flashlight while he looks at the meter. We go there in our personal car....using our personal gas and do not ask for reimbursement, because he just wants to help residents. There are so many elderly widows that he encounters and he feels sorry for them, so he fixes whatever is broken.....works for hours and will not accept any pay. We have quite a few widows that send us thank you notes and other residents too. Sergio has done the same as Jim with helping residents. You should thank your lucky stars that you have such dedicated employees for Marco. Besides doing all this, Jim has been the Commander of the VFW and has been in charge of Memorial Day ceremonies, in charge of putting the flags out on the medium strips six times a year, flag burning ceremonies, color guard, selling poppies. He also volunteers for many organizations. I could tell that he was hurt by your insensitive and untrue comments, but he is too much of a man to say so. I will say that not only was I hurt, but you hurt my children and grandchildren. I cannot think of a finer man.
I am proud to sign my name.
Guidry told me that I needed a hip replacement after he did some x rays on me. When I went to an Orthopedic Doctor, I didn't need a hip replacement after all. I also made appointments with Shaw and the same thing. Guidry would walk in. I asked him and he said that Shaw was busy. This happened over and over. He once yelled at me and told me to shut up and listen.
No wonder I kept getting double billed. I was paying for all the freebies!!

Why would the council put this very important subject on the agenda when all the snowird residents have left? How interesting. They know that the VAST MAJORITY is against tolls and yet they go forward instead of saying, wait a minute, we pay taxes to the state, let the state pay for the bridge WITHOUT A TOLL. WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU COUNCIL MEMBES? YOU ARE ALL ACTING LIKE A BUNCH OF "WOOSES". Stand up for Marco. Tell them to put us first on the list, fix our bridge and DO NOT CHARGE US A TOLL. When is it Marco's turn to have something done with OUR TAXES? They give our money to everyone else all over the state.
When you were all running for office you said you would listen to the people. Now listen and tell them we do not want tolls. You will ruin our property values, shut businesses down and this will be a depressed ghost town.
