Written on Island Hopper: In memoriam: Tim Crandall:

Wow, this is surprising. As a seasonal resident of Naples, an occasional visit down to Marco and the Snook Inn to be entertained by Tim Crandall always seemed like a great way to relax. He will be missed. But how did he die? Your article never mentions it.

Written on Tim Crandall, beloved musician, dies:

As a seasonal resident, I always enjoyed coming down to the Snook Inn for a cocktail and to catch one of Tim's performances. He helped everyone forget their problems at least for awhile, with his endless entertainment. But how did he die? What happened?

Written on Island Hopper: Oh, what to wear?:

Hey Tiffany, Methinks thou doth protest too much! What do you have, short term memory loss from your days back "up north?" How quickly we forget what freezing cold really means. What would all the Marcoites do if, God forbid they were hit with two feet of snow like we were last week? Lucky for you, you still own a sweater. Many of your friends must still be shell shocked every time the temperatures roll down into the 40's. Tell me, do they own snow shovels?

Bill, This is another of life's lessons, never underestimate the power of prayer!

Written on Megahome approval upsets many Goodland residents:

Quite simply this cannot be permitted to go forward. Citizens of Goodland unite. Start having fundraisers, bake sales and even a fish fry if necessary. You have to stop this mausoleum or else your village as you know it will cease to exist. It will resemble Naples or Marco or Sanibel. Stan's and The Little Bar will morph into the Esplanade or Venetian Village with Vergina on the water to follow. Pelican Bay was successful in fighting the developer, so was Vanderbilt. You have good case law on your side. Do not allow this to happen to your lovely island. If it does, Goodland as we know it will cease to exist, and please will the last person to leave please turn off the lights.
