Written on Motion filed to declare waterways ordinance unconstitutional:

As I have said before, this ordinance is one of the major reasons why business has been down this year on Marco. Our sales have decreased but probably not as much as it has over at Marco River Marina, Cedar Bay, Isles of Capri and others. I hope the councilors read Ed Bania's report.

Written on Motions scheduled today in waterways ordinance case:

It's been over a year since Mr. Bania first broke the news that our city ocuncil was even thinking about passing this stupid ordinance. Then the council did. Myself and other business owners have suffered economically because boaters and yachtsmen have stopped coming here because they have been harassed and from fear they will be ticketed. Hundreds of thousands of people throughout the country now know how stupid our current and former city councilors are. Sarasota just trashed a similar ordinance. The Naples city attorney told their council they would be stupid to approve one.
STILL, our council and attorneys don't have the brains to trash this ordinance.
CHEERS for Mr. Dumas for doing what he did! We believe the judge has the sense to throw the ordinance out!

Written on FBI asked to review MIPD’s asbestos investigation:

If something is being "covered up" in the PD or City Hall, the FBI and U.S. Attorney's Office will find out! Thank you Mr. Bania for letting us know about this!
