Wouldn't it just be easier to allow everyone to have a sub meter for lawn irrigation. What is wrong with these people?

Not quite sure what Marcoislandwomen meant, but tried Stilts the other night. Very overpriced and the food was not very good at all. Doesn't compare to the Marriot, and the drinks were terrible. We try to patronize our islands restaurants, but it gets tougher every day.
I have to admit, Marco really has no good restaurants here. Have not been able to find a good steak yet. Give us an Outback or Longhorn.
Not only that, but for every gallon of water that goes on your yard your also paying for it to go down the sewer.. And it's NOT!!! WE NEED SUB METERS CITY COUNCIL! Let them know Marco residents..
We need sub meters on Marco island! We should not have to pay sewer charges on water we use to irrigate our lawns and wash our cars!!!SUB METERS, SUB METERS SUB METERS!!!!!!!SPEAK UP PEOPLE, IT WILL SAVE US THOUSANDS!!
I looked in to other cities and counties around the country, and almost all have a sub meter system. Many people hook up their hose connections for watering, car washing, pool filling, sprinkler systems etc. All of which does not go down the sewer. This can save a condo, or homeowner hundreds if not thousands of dollars annually. A sub meter is a very easy installation, and a remote meter reading device can be installed right on your house for the city to read. This needs to be looked into by the council that is supposedly looking out for our interests.. We should not be charged sewer charges for water that is not going down the sewer nor being processed at the plant. I would be more than willing to pay a plumber, and any necessary permit and inspection fees for this device. Please urge our council to look into this!!
Question? Now that I am on city sewer, can a sub meter be installed on my lawn sprinkler system so I do not have to pay sewer charges on water that does not go down the city sewer??
Well said Jaguar, and slowsky! Very well done Marco island police.. Keep it up. It's great to have them on the island!!
How about the people with the unsightly messy rocks in their swales. They all use them as parking lots, and the rocks are always in the road. I never see their vehicals with tickets on them!
How about rebidding the connection costs and septic tank abandonment costs to homeowners also? This would also be a good thing for the city to push.
Not sure whats going on, but the website is just as bad as the paper lately.
These teachers need to stop whineing about their GREAT jobs. There really part time baby sitters that get summers off, spring break, winter break, professional days, and to many other holidays to list off. Not to mention the wonderful benefits package. Try getting a job in the real world!!
Whats the law on the island for people who walk their dogs, and let them go to the bathroom on vacant lots and peoples yards?? It's happening everywhere..
AAAmen Barfieldfly!!
Where are these skumbags comming from on Marco?? Lock him up!! Lucky he didn't kill someone..
