Did the finance dept. ever find the m54 file that they couldn't at the meeting last Weds.?
How is my quality of life improving with a new gym and higher taxes? I am in my seventies Stacy, Bryan, and council get a life.Make my golden years really golden and peaceful.
I remember years back when Moss was in charge he purchased a 4 wheel vehicle, created a position and had an employee drive around the city sidewalks and spray paint any crack's or inperfection's with red paint. The city was supposed to repair the sidewalks. Pinter want's us to repair them? Anyone remember this project that fell through the crack's? Also what happened to the 4 wheel vehicle?
They have to find the money somehow to pay for that $100,000 that the guy from Naples has filed suit against M.I.

You still watch cbs? Obama might take less vac. days but what about Michelle and all the other relations? To name a few, Spain,India,Marthas Vineyard, Maine,Hawaii, Africa and a ski trip to Vail. Bo the dog even has his own jet. Where is the big black bus that was made in Canada?
Bush and Reagan took their staff with them. Obama took Michelle with him.

in response to KlausStoertebeker: "Blame Bush after 4 years of this crap, what a joke, typical Crat !!!!" The Presidents with whom Bush is mentioned in one breath, the Americans are still considered pariahs in the White House: James Buchanan, who allowed the nation to slide the civil war. Herbert Hoover, who passively watched the great depression. And actually no one is to say that America better because after the Bush years than before. Bush has led the country into a completely unnecessary war in the Iraq to mention the more than 4000 US soldiers has cost lives - from the thousands of victims in the Iraq. He has lost America's standing in the world by torturing terror suspects and imprisoned without prospect of a hearing. He has undermined the fundamental rights of Americans, by telephones and E-mail in the United States monitor its intelligence services without court order in in full. He has spoiled rich Americans with tax gifts and let the poor struggle. He has simply ignored the impending climate catastrophe. He has seen the demise of the Metropolis: the federal authorities failed after Hurricane Katrina in New Orleans and the Gulf Coast. Bush greatest legacy to his fellow countrymen and the world is the biggest economic crisis since the great depression. Already forgotten everything? Great President Obama restored the bad boy image of America very successfully. He brought the troops home. He is fighting against stone heads and right wing ideologists for a BETTER America. His health care politic is state of the art. Face the reality. America is on the right way. The last President with a balanced budget was Bill Clinton. A democrat. Means democrats can do the job. Republicans - if they don't have a Ronald Reagan - fail.

in response to RealityChecker: Gibson hasn't paid property taxes for years. He is a financial disaster. It is absurd that he has any say in the way we send our tax dollars. He is just a spend spend spend guy. It doesn't cost him anything. I am sure he would vote free drinks and cigarettes for everybody if he could. I am surprised that the other freeloading council member hasn't jumped on this as well. These two clowns owe the citizens of Marco Island tens of thousands of dollars. Why aren't we applying their pay checks to this debt?

As Ed Issler claim's MIFD was not legally allowed to transport the victim.
in response to lauralbi1: DC5799: Get the facts. Read the report. This has nothing to do with MIFD. Rather it is between NCH and the County. What "follow up" should MIFD do ?? They have plenty to do.In fact, for the other naysayers, I would specuulate that MIFD was not legally allowed to do transport in this case.Ed Issler

The man is dead because NO ONE helped him. That is a fact.
According to the Marco fire dept. report, patient transport from theNCH Maco Island healthcare Center has been problematic in the past, but was supposed to have been resolved months before Andersons emergency. So I am assuming it was not resolved and no one knew it at the MIFD. Doesn't anyone do follow up's?
I am not happy that the Dems.are in power. The only hope and change left is to vote them all out.We can't get any worse we have hit bottom. I was a reg. dem for 52 years not any more. You people that think we are ok are living in la la land.
What was the name of the nch driver who was 22 mins late for work. I hope the family has a good lawyer
What about fund raising to pay for the fireworks and the St Pats parade? How much can a parade cost? Remember Canine Cove, not a dime did the City give, all money was paid for by the animal lovers and what a great amount was raised. You people go to these meetings with one thought in your heads, how much money can we get from the council. Raise your own money it will be a very rewarding experience.
Bales is right spelling bails is wrong.

Too much for them to comprehend.
Watertown Ma. home to the Perkins Scool for the blind has audible traffic lights. When the signal turns red a bell rings to allow the blind person to cross. It probably cost less than the stupid camera's they bought to check cars coming on to the Island. Where are those camera's anyway
Dirty Sanchez? Who was more dirty than all the filth that ran the city from Moss down. And did not Dr Sanchez take on the city all alone and WIN,WIN. Tucker lied, lied lied and then admitted he lied.
Imagine visitors coming to Marco because we have a good reputation for fireworks. Too much of the old sauce Jerry
Then they name buildins and plaque's after Tucker and Minozzi. Arceri will have the wastewater bldg. Name one good thing Tucker ever did to merit having City Hall named after him. Huh Popoff
Fossil, Are you really, really for real? Get off the sauce.

I agree good post.
So if there are no physical req. what if a really obese, unfit employee was hurt on the job because he could not perform the duty that he was required to do Also could a heart attack be blamed on his job,not because he has health issues because he does not take care of himself? Would he be eligible for a disability pension? It's hard to believe that there are no restriction's in place. Does Naples have them or the Sheriffs dept.?
What are the physical requirements to be eligible for a MPD? Are they not required to take an annual physical? If he really is 400 lbs he could not perform most of the feat's that are required.
I find it hard to believe an 80 year old woman pulling out of a driveway not looking and flying onto Collier. Why did Lt Goetz say he couldnt say who was at fault and did he say it appeared the 80 year old turned in front of the police car. Seem's to me he has made up his mind according to the eagle.
Is Diaz the obese one?
Being from new england he knows that a florida jelly donut can not compare to a boston jelly. Fl. has just a drop of jelly new england just oozes out. That's why it's called a jelly Try the jelly donuts on 951 near lowes. Bad
My feeling's exactly that sleaze. Thank you thank you Dr Sanchez again.

Being endorsed by Wayne is the kiss of death. Sorry Baer, best of luck Chief Hunter.
Ed still using that (landslide) theme. How about Dr Sanchez's landslide win? How did your asbestos test do? You never mention that fiasco anymore. Mario Sanchez was right and you were wrong
What really scares me is Enterprise is still being awarded contract's on this island. Again thank you Dr. Sanchez, you fought the hard fight and won.
in response to marco97: DC my point is over the years the park has lost about 6 mature palm trees that lined the walkway. When I asked about getting them replaced I'm told there is no money in the budget for them. So when my tax dollars are used to put $5,000 worth of palms in a fenced in area for use by dog owners I feel like I'm getting screwed.I usually agree with you but on this I think the dog park people should have paid for the the palm trees or at least some should have been placed around the park.

I think but I am not sure the money was taken from the endowment. If not where is the endowment money being used? There is money for everything else on this island, why not that? The signs alone on the bike path must have cost more than $5000.There are at least 8-10 signs at the intersection 's to the path. What about fireworks, St Patricks day parade extra police on duty? If you are getting screwed as you so aptly put it, it is the city screwing you. Not the dog lovers of this island.
in response to marco97: DC, what was the cost of all the tall palm trees that were planted at the dog park, just curious.
DC, what was the cost of all the tall palm trees that were planted at the dog park, just curious.
there is an endowment for the upkeep of the park. how much did the trees cost all around the park and veterans park/ Who paid for those?
Dog park was built with private donations, no taxpayers money though the city was looking for way's to confiscate some of the donated money. Waldack wanted owners to pay to license their dog's. Gibson wanted to "get some money from the tourist who visit". Everything else we paid for, I use the term WE loosely
Do you think Gov. Scott know's what goes on here on MI.No referendum.raising taxes, out of control water and sewer rates, no layoff's, new hires, building and leasing community center when we own the one we have. Two fire stations on this small island.Maybe we should invite the Gov. here to see how paradise operates. I'm sure he could help us the overtaxed [old]seniors who live here. Maybe he can show our manager and council how it is done because they do not have a clue.
Never mind the children, what about the senior's who have poor eyesight? As far as the bike paths go, dog's and their owners love them. And also the male dogs love those lights in Mackle park. It's like having their own hydrants
Keep up the good work Gov. That's why I voted for you. Fossil do you think our civil servants are all clean and sober? If they are clean they have nothing to worry about. Random should be mandatory for anyone dealing with the safety of all citizens.
Bryan says these are hard times/// Not hard enough if he wants a 6 million dollar community center.

Why would you be shocked he is a condo owner. Do the condo owners pay all the charges I pay being a single home owner? I did not vote for the strp it was shoved down my throat. The condo owners voted it in and I hope it gets shoved down their whatever. Magel is not looking out for my best interest just his Hideaway cronies.
Q E should never have been allowed to work on the island again after the EPA imposed a fine on them. Who has them in their pocket?
So everybody how do you feel about buying water from Collier County? With that huge pos that Arceri advised us to purchase for which we can not pay for. So as the saying goes what goes around comes around. Thank's former council members looks like CARES was right. HUH WAYNE
Dismiss her now!!!!!
Every time Waldack opens his mouth something awful stupid is said.He is not paying.

Marco Citizen, I totally agree about all the BS that goes on here. The City is going down the toilet and these morons keep pulling the chain. Get serious and figure a way we all can come together and try to find a solution to fix the problem.
What about the two elderly people who were run down outside of Porky's a few yrs back?He was killed and she suffered severe injuries. The driver was never arrested or charged. I bet he wasn't tested either. He belonged to someone who had some drag plus the cops said the couple was drinking. drunking walking!
I like those young Royal's. They have a lot of class.
