IMPLOSION... This is what happens when you try and cheat within your program. Golden Gate has Sub-Par year in 2011-12 and yet plans a National Schedule in 2012-13? Then 3 6'9 players randomly show up... and the Best player from Naples HS transfers to Golden Gate... Shame on them... When are the REAL questions going to be asked and when are people going to be held accountable? People still SLAM Immokalee for an inelgible player... YET NO ONE is holding Golden Gates Feet to the FIRE for recruiting players, even when the foreign kids were found to be NOT ELIGIBLE... Where is the ACCOUNTABILITY... The NDN did a huge article APPLAUDING Mr.Getta for the National Schedule and for re-vamping the tournament... When is someone going to call a spade a spade???...
in response to Leon:
Everyone knows why the three kids were brought down to Golden Gate High, and that includes Consolino and the GGH Administration. Local players were losing their spots and going to ride the bench. Heard one was a 5th year senior and GGH had the nerve to appeal to the FHSAA. Thought the School District had a Director of Athletics to oversee this stuff. Just to win a few basketball games!
"That is INCREDIBLE. I wonder what Consolino has to say about this mess. He must be one very angry camper right now." ANGRY OR ASHAMED...
He also brought over the Best player from Naples... why would that kid leave a currently better program?
BECASUE HE WAS going to play a National Schedule with D1 players and get seen and have a chance to get recruited... THAT is not happening, not the kids fault... WHERE IS THE ACCOUNTABILITY? Why are more people in our community upset by his tactics.
Coach Joe made a DEAL WITH THE DEVIL... and the KIDS LOST...
THOSE KIDS WERE RECRUITED... THE NDN sang their praises about the National Schedule... not much about the process on how the kids got to Naples...
Just looking for a little ACCOUNTABILITY...
"SAY IT AIN'T SO JOE!" funny how historic lines can repeat!.....
