Written on Letter To The Editor: Condos should be rewarded for efficiency:

I wrote you several weeks ago and we agreed to meet when I return to the Island in late November. I will call you then.

Written on Letter To The Editor: Rates seem fair:

Mr. Magel,

I wrote you a few weeks ago and we agreed to meet personally when I return to the Island in late November.

Written on Councilman Chuck Kiester eyes reelection, Marco's future :

He is a good man. I support Chuck completely.

Written on Letter To The Editor: Condos should be rewarded for efficiency:

The problem is that there are at least two thousand more condo owners than single family home owners. It is a Touqeville dilemma. They are fully capable of voting themselves largess. That is why I highly suspect Magel's candidacy

Written on Letter To The Editor: Water costs:

here here!

Written on Letter To The Editor: Rates seem fair:

Mr. Fonda,

It is simple. Everyone should pay the same amount for a gallon of water used or a gallon of sewage generated. Not a difficult concept.

Written on Letter To The Editor: Condos should be rewarded for efficiency:

Absurd! Every gallon of water used or sewage generated should be invoiced identically.

Incidentally, I have worn out my old car and would like all those with new cars to buy me a new one.

Written on Ben Bova: Global warming likely to resume — with a vengeance:

see http://www.worldclimatereport.com/ind...

Incredibly, if you are interested in Antarctica temperature trends from the present back to 1982, the region has cooled. If you go from present back to 1966, the region has cooled. Like it or not, over the past four decades, and during the time of the greatest build-up of greenhouse gases, Antarctica has been cooling!

Chapman, W.L. and J.E. Walsh. 2007. A Synthesis of Antarctic Temperatures. Journal of Climate, 20, 4096-4117.

But I was wrong on the water percentage. It is only a little over 70%.

Written on Ben Bova: Global warming likely to resume — with a vengeance:

This nonsense just amazes me...especially when coming from seemingly educated people.

Google "Antartica". It is GROWING LARGER and it contains over 90% of the world's ice.

"Global Warming"....oh...excuse me...."Climate Change" is a political campaign conducted by zealots without ANY scientific basis. They have a very different agenda which has NOTHING to do with carbon emissions. God must be shaking his head in wonderment.
