The base rate for sewer is $22.72 for all single family residences. The base rate for water depends on the size of your meter (volumn). If you have a 5/8" meter your base rate is $27.86 per month. If you have a 1" meter your base rate is $69.63 per month. You have these fees whether you use water or not because it's always available and needed to operate a seasonal city like Marco Island.

Hey Joe! You need to take another look around you!
The parks look nice. The fields look nice. Ask the guys who play softball if they think Dana Souza should go or the football teams who use the park, or the people who attend the Movie Nights and Holiday Events, or the knitters, or the Men's Club or the Sports Camp kids, or Game Olympics kids, the list goes on.............As a mom and park user - I hope no one listens to you. The YMCA does well with their own stuff; they should stick to that.

I think all of you people behind this quest for a recall should be "nice" and face the truth and admit that the real reason behind your actions is really to stop the sewers from being installed on the island. Septic systems are ok for getting rid of solid waste but not so good with liquid waste. Do you have your septic pumped twice a year? FYI: I am on septic now, a blue collar worker in her forties, with a family and not a lot of extra money laying around. I think septics are so yesterday. Maybe you should put your energy into enjoying this beautiful place we live in. Life is too short. Negative stress will only make it shorter. See you at the beach!
