I have an idea lets move them even closer. This way during non peak times we can let planes land and charge them a fee. We can pay for the electric bill from the fees to keep them lit at night. The city should also hand out sun glasses to all residents because they are so bright. Who approved the design, what a joke.

When will the City Council on Marco realize that Lely continues to drop in grades. I think we should keep our 56M on the Island, take 10M towards the sewer program (to keep people happy) and use the 46M to run and create another “A” rated school on the Island.
** I am sure I will hear from all the Lely supporters

I have an idea let’s build a school on the Island and then the kids of Marco won’t have to deal with "different people” or risk getting to Leley. The true fact is it’s not about diversity it’s about money. What about the 56M we send to the county for that great High school? Instead of going after the 56M let’s raise utility rates to avoid the tax reduction mandated by the state. Nice work Marco Island.

Obviously the developers of the Island knew that there would be a need for a high school. I can’t understand why our city leaders can’t see the justification. Why doesn’t the city look at keeping the 56M we send to the county for schools and run them ourselves? The 56M will allow us to have top rated schools, pay our teachers enough to afford to live in the area and give the kids of Marco what they deserve. I don’t think another park is the answer.

Tract K should be used for a school as it was intended. If you want to attract younger professional’s schools is a hot topic. The only thing that I hear from people on Marco is them complaining about sewer cost. If you don’t like it move the decision is made.GET OVER IT

The idea of installing solar panels on this land is a joke. If we can’t have the school why not a recreation facilities that will benefit the entire community. This is just common sense!
I strongly urge the City council to vigorously pursue this land.
