I think this is great move forward for the island. There are so many dogs and they are a strong positive in the lives of our residents and visitors. As a former dog owner and now a foster parent for dogs for the Humane Society, I support a large fine for violators and the placement of bag dispensers and collection cans to make the removal of waste easy.

This is a great first step. Responsible owners and renters won't be threatened by this but it will allow for the structure to deal with the problem rental properties.

I do not have sewer, and I voted prosewer, as did many homeowners that are not on sewer that I have talked to. This is a dead issue and needs to be completed and we need to move forward and stop rehashing this. I am a retired CPA, I have looked at the city financials and we are not at all in dire financial straits. This is a fabulous place to live and we should all be thankful to be here. Now, how about a dog park? Comments?
