Vote to have representation by people who conduct themselves in a professional and open manner. Do not vote for the men who have brought frivolous and expensive lawsuits against our city. Do not vote for men who not only spew half truths but intentionally malign the characters of any one that opposes them. Do not vote for men who bend the truth to fit their agendas. Do not vote for men who carry their dislike of business to the end of trying to harm business on this Island. Do not vote for men who make verbal attacks on their opponent's family in hopes of doing them fiscal harm. Vote for men that would listen to you even if they don't agree with you. Vote for men that have more of vision for Marco Island than just one sewer project. Vote for men that will be honorable and open. Vote for GIBSON,RECKER,TROTTER,and WLADACK

I am from Michigan, where the roads traveled were of varied ages. It was so common to have road work being done in the milder months that the joke, not unlike many states was that the state bird was a construction sign. The fact that many of Marco roads were built almost at the same time makes it so easy to understand that they would need work, or enhancement at the same time. What life was like during construction was temporary and really not so horrible. It is past and we have a beautiful roadway that does not flood and offers pedestrians the safe passage in many areas they did not have before. The construction was needed to create a blvd that reflects the Marco Island that we call home, and I think it looks amazing. The construction did not effect the real estate market or property values. I also think that a variance offered to Marriott Crystal Shores that opened up a new public access path made sense. When the Deltona brothers designed the ideal Marco Island they included public access that has been sadly missing for a long time. I say is was a good decision because nothing increases property values like being able to state you your home is with in walking access of the beach, with access. I think there needs to be some real clean thought on what Marco Island living means to people.

I am terrified of what could happen if Neylon,Hall, Guidry or Batte makes it to the council. Their lack of information and unwillingness to learn makes them a poor choice to represent the community. They have been questioned and found lacking, they care not about Marco as a whole but about the money that they will pay into the new sewer system. They know nothing of our history, they know nothing of the people who make Marco Island the amazing community that it is. (sorry Dr. G but you are now guilty but association). I have heard them speak, I have read their missives and anyone who speaks to others they way they do has no business speaking for the masses. It is only someone who is trying to make people believe they are important that runs around screaming into everyone's face..."I AM IMPORTANT".
If the message that they needed to deliver to the public was genuine then they would not need to behave the way they do.

I know we all feel like it has been forever that Collier has been torn up, but now that the worst of it is over it is so easy to say it was totally worth it. I work down at the South end of the Island and think every day how nice the roads and landscaping look there. Transition is never easy but the change has really made our Island beautiful.
Happy holidays

How many people took part in this poll by MICA?
I mean you seem to have the poor to fair numbers but I see no mention of how many people were responding and how many thought he was doing a good job. Biased opinion makes you look foolish. If you have a point to make you really should acknowledge both sides of the story.

If the concerned citizens of Marco Island need to find out what is going on, then they should visit the City's site and sign up for the updates via email. How is it that people who have not consulted the city or had access to the information provided to the city make these claims of being informed?
At best it is opinion and conjecture.
The right of free speech allows anyone to voice their opinion but if citizens want to really know the facts about our city plans they should consult the official source (The City) not all the "wanna be" authorities. Ask the city first, at least be informed from both sides.

bbyrone,
Honestly, Is there anything you won't stick your nose in and and critque? You seem to have the inside scoop on how everything can be done better how every thing should be in the world. I have never really heard of a person with so much knowledge of so many things. It has been my experience that people who assume that they know how to do everything and do everything better than everyone else, tend not to have the skills or eductaion do much of anything.

Lolala,
I wonder who you are and what you do for a living? Do you attend council meetings and support the community by working with all the different organizations and businesses that help unite this community? Well if you were doing any of that you would know who the two woman are in the photo that you so cleverly tried to insult. I hate to be the bearer of bad news but that totally backfired. YOu look foolish for not knowing who they were. They run the Chamber of Commerce but i guess you know that now don't you?

I think this is yet another way to waste the City's time. The recall was not valid and never will be judged so. I guess some people need to be publically shot down several times before they move on. Sad.

I am sure no one would ever mistake you for stupid. Crazy with unsubstantiated suspicion and a really really loose grasp on realty....but stupid I just don't see how someone would think that.
Not everything is a mass conspiracy, cut back on the TV and movies.
