Thank God Moss is leaving, now it time to vote out 4 more and the island will be at peace again. Moss left to save his back side because he new his days were numbered at Marco.
Oh no!! Another one who just doesn't understand the current climate on Marco. Everyone will "make nice" when we are allowed to VOTE on the STRP. Then perhaps we can move on. The current problems are just the tip of the iceburg. Just wait until we go bankrupt!
There is a God!!! Yeah the legacy Moss will leave is a bankrupt city! Good luck Naples!
When Environ gave the city a report it didn't want to hear they were gone. When a couple of counselors go out into the field and agree that something smells bad enough to make you sick you have to throw something at them! The Sunshine Law. For heavens sake they can not agree with what the citizens have been telling them for months. Just another distraction from the real issue.
Oh boy now the city can do what it wants again with no one attempting to guard the citizens. At least I felt somewhat safer with Environ in place. Unfortunately Environ told the city what it didn't want to hear. We will again pay the price healthwise and otherwise for these morons. Sending that fetid water to the treatment plant? Oh goody! Now maybe we can breath it and drink it! Is there equipment in place to remove it? Maybe we can come up with an entirely new chemical mixture after it is treated with chlorine and ammonia. The only thing that is missing is a "night cream" sold by the city so we can smear the crap all over us before retiring.
What planet is Lisa Douglas from? "The council can consider changing direction in time to prevent a significant cost increase"? Here's a novel idea...STOP THE STRP! No matter what it costs Environ has to be kept in place if we are to remain healthy. The citizens of Marco went for months being told it was nothing but a rotten egg smell. Sounds to me like they want to get rid of Environ. Then what will be be left with? Maybe Rony can build a mega stack if he can find enough plywood. This city can NOT be left to it's own devices. They are so far over their heads that it would be comical if it weren't so pathetic. I doubt seriously if the contractor will ever pay a dime to remedy this situation. Something is very rotten in Demark! Maybe after the next council is elected we will finally get an investigation into why things have gone so horribly wrong. For anyone to say that the citizens are making this up because they don't want to pay for the sewers (in light of the scientific facts) must be getting a little kick back from someone. January can not come fast enough.
This is another outrage against the citizens of the island. Ed Foster is correct. We need to call the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services and anyone else who might have a brain. De-watering continues with no regard for "human" health effects. Unbelievable!! Pathetic!!! Fall is coming. Apparently Lisa Douglas and the crew want us to never have an opportunity to open a window for a breath of fresh air. Our A/C will be running 24/7/365. You won't be able to walk without gagging. The city staff will meet with the contractors to see that the new guidlines are followed??? What a joke! Ninety plus percent of the individuals doing the work no habla englais. Hope they have a translator. We need a moratorium on the entire project until we know for certain that there is no health implications for HUMANS.
How very "Florida". Make sure everything is protected execpt we humans. As far as I know we pay for the FLDEP's existence. We are paying through the nose to the City of Marco yet somehow when there is a health concern (albeit for a shrimp) we are not allowed to attend the meeting discussing this mess.Something stinks besides the hydrogen sulfide.
