Unfortunately the position will not be offered to Hennings; he doesn't have the educational background. He has real life experience and a lot of commonsense but no college. He would represent the city well and I sincerely hope the powers to be will look at him seriously. Does anyone know who makes the final decision, city council? City manager?

It's over! Even I want to stop the gloating. Mr. Davies said it best,
"The people have spoken," Davies said. "They will get the Marco that they want. End of story."

When they booed Reverend Joy Mr. Kiester didn't defend her he said she should stay out of politics. Is this a new, kindler, gentler Chuck now that he is clearly in the minority? Seems a little too obvious that now he asks for civility in our community.
Mr. Kiester, don't insult the voters with your pleas, where were you for the last two years? You acted as an obstructionist on the council and played to the angry audience instead of the people of Marco Island.

Very telling that there have been no congratulatory messages or statements from the anti-sewer candidates or their supporters to the new councilors. I guess expecting any class from classless individuals was too much to expect.
