Marco Island Woman; Is there anything that you are not an expert on? Seriously, you think you have all the stats and figures but you just ramble on and on and on and on..........
To Waverunner:I agree with you! "Yoda" seems to have a response and know everthing about every subject that is discussed through these blogs! LOL!
Again in response Klabautermann:
I will bet if you get rid of the Police Dept, the first time your house is broken into or when the Marco beaches are invaded with "Spring Breakers" you will be the first one to complain that there is not a local Police Dept.!! With no Police, you can bet that a "bad element" will move onto Marco!
In response to Klabautermann:
All I see on this blog are rants and misinformation. If there was no Police Dept on Marco, I definetely would not feel save personally nor for my property! Should there be cutbacks? Sure, but not to have local Police is insane! Let's get to the real issue here----safety!
I am new to Marco Island and the suggestion to get rid of the Police Dept upsets me. Correct me if I am wrong, but wasn't there a recent drug bust of a Meth lab in a private residence on Balfour Drive and another drug related issue at a local drugstore? If you get rid of the Police Dept, I think that there would be a lot more of those problems and many other issues, don't you? Before purchasing a home in Marco, I looked in Ft. Lauderdale and did not feel safe. I felt very safe being out and about, day or night in Marco Island. Shouldn't safety be our main concern here?
