Jim has been looking another position for years, not just a few months as he claims. He is correct that he does not penalize department heads for incompetence, he actually allows themm to stay on with no consequence. We have a department head that Malloy knows is incompetant and alcohlic and yet he looks the other way."showing his compassion for this "illness"I would venture to say. Must be how he " wins them over. Our last police chief who Jim hand-picked, had been forced of of both the New York State Police and Athol MA yet Malloy hired him. Turns out he had many skeletons in the closet including a girlfriend and finally had to be "asked" to leave after years of problems and an almost complete turnover of a seasoned department. If Jim is so much in his comfort zone, whay was his most recent review so bad? You would think it would be really good is he is so capable?

Another point of clarification Mr. Freijo. Mr. Malloy is NOT our city manager but is ONLY a Town Administor, a fancy name for the Secretary to the Board of Selectmen. He is very good at telling tall tales including changing his title but rest assured the board of Selectmen run this town. Not Mr. Malloy who we lovingly refer to as our little "dictator".
