Final flight, crash of the Flying Fifty

Abandoned Flying Fifty sailboat takes several days ...

Published March 12, 2009

Contractors drained the water from the half-sunken sailboat in the Big Marco River and floated it to the canal near the Judge S.S. Jolley Bridge. It took two cranes to remove the boat from the water. Once hovering above the ground, the boat quickly came to a crash landing, was demolished Thursday near the bridge and taken to the dump.
